Marvel: Rise of the Ultimate AI Chapter 51

"A weapons expo unlike any other!"

"This is a product ahead of its time!"

"What other surprises does Mason Industries have in store for us?"

"Will these new war machines replace human soldiers?"

"A technological marvel—Ares missiles and T-600 robots!"

"The so-called 'Green Goblin II' is actually Harry Osborn!"

After Mason Industries' weapons exhibition, the media went into a frenzy.

Reporters scrambled to obtain insider photos from the event, and when they finally got their hands on them, they could hardly believe their eyes.

From the sleek, high-tech Ares missiles to the menacing T-600 combat droids, every single detail shattered their understanding of modern warfare.

In the dimly lit headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury sat at his desk, studying the images provided by the military. His single eye was locked onto one thing—the T-600 robots.

"Director, these photos came directly from the military. This T-600 model…"

Agent Maria Hill spoke in a low voice. She knew exactly what was going through Fury's mind.

Because when she first saw the images, she thought of that moment three years ago—

A gleaming silver robotic figure.

An eerie, synthetic voice.

A red, unblinking electronic eye…

A nightmare that had haunted Fury ever since.

"Sir, do you believe that Mason Industries is connected to what happened three years ago?"

Agent Phil Coulson stepped in, his voice laced with concern.

"Creating robots that resemble those things? That's enough to raise suspicion." Fury's voice was cold.

"But, sir, we've already investigated Mason Industries. According to Agent Romanoff, Gene Mason and that… other 'Gene Mason' should have no connection." Coulson furrowed his brows.

"Exactly." Fury narrowed his eye. "It's the hidden threats that are the most dangerous ones."

At that moment, an agent rushed into the office.

"Director! We have reports from New Mexico—a hammer fell from the sky. The thing is immovable, no matter what people try. The event has been classified as a possible supernatural phenomenon."

Fury rubbed his temples.

"Great… Stark is causing problems on one end, Mason Industries is developing killer robots on the other, and now we have a damn magic hammer to deal with."

He let out a long breath.

"Agent Coulson, you're up. I'll assign someone else to keep an eye on Stark."

Then, his expression hardened.

"Also, resume surveillance on Mason Industries. And prepare a meeting—I'm going to see Gene Mason in person."

In Mason Tower, Gene Mason lounged in his chair, one leg crossed over the other. Across from him sat Nick Fury, the ever-serious director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Or, as some would say—the "Motherfu—King of Spies."

"Director Fury, what an unexpected visit." Gene smirked. "Looking to partner with Mason Industries? A new joint project, perhaps?"

Fury didn't smile. He leaned forward slightly, his single eye locked onto Gene.

"Tell me something, Mason… Are you Gene Mason, or are you Gene Mason?"

The question came out of nowhere.

Gene raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Is the great Director Fury questioning my citizenship?" Gene chuckled. "Do you need me to fetch my ID for verification?"

Before Fury could respond, a new voice interrupted them—

"Mr. Mason, General Ross has arrived. Should I let him in?"

Skynet materialized as a hologram, its voice eerily human-like.

Gene turned back to Fury, still smiling.

"Well, Director, it looks like our chat will have to end here. I have a far more… important guest waiting."

Fury stood, his gaze never leaving Gene.

"I'll find out who you really are." His voice was low, laced with warning.

"In that case, Director, I suggest you start by checking the U.S. Census Bureau."

As Fury walked out of the office, he nearly bumped into General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.

The two men locked eyes for a brief moment before both deliberately looked away—clearly, they weren't on the best of terms.

Ross entered, his expression wary yet respectful.

"Mr. Mason," he greeted, "what can I do for you?"

Despite being a high-ranking general, Ross was strangely submissive in front of Gene Mason—a billionaire industrialist.

Gene leaned forward, his smile sharp.

"General Ross, I'm looking for someone. A green someone. I believe you know exactly who I mean."

At the mention of the Green Giant, Ross's face darkened.

There was only one person that fit that description—Bruce Banner.

Ross clenched his fists.

"I've spent my entire life hunting that monster down." His voice was filled with deep-seated hatred.

"Perfect," Gene said smoothly. "Then today, I'm giving you another chance. Find me Bruce Banner—and leave the rest to me."

His voice was calm, yet full of temptation.

Ross's eyes narrowed, his mind racing.

He wanted the Hulk more than anything.

And now, Gene Mason was offering him a way to capture him.

There was only one answer.
