Marvel: Starting with the Homelander Template Chapter 137

After Alex's words, the group of mutants exchanged looks. The atmosphere quickly turned serious.

"I guess… there's no going back for us, is there?"

The one who spoke was a young man wearing a visor that covered his eyes.

Alex immediately recognized him—not just as one of the most important figures in the X-Men universe, but also the younger brother of an old friend.

Scott Summers. Also known as Cyclops.

For others, maybe there was a choice.

Every time he opened his eyes, it was a catastrophe. How could he live among normal humans again?

Following Alex wasn't just a choice—it was the only option.

"My family kicked me out anyway."

Another teen shrugged. His tongue was long and forked, like a lizard's.

He'd been treated like a freak all his life. In a way, he was just like Cyclops.

"I'm coming with you, Alex."

Following Cyclops and the fork-tongued teen, more and more mutants began speaking up, pledging their loyalty.

In the end—about half of them chose to follow Alex.

Of course, that meant the other half made a different choice.

"Alex, I'm truly grateful for everything you've done."

After a brief silence, a soft voice spoke up.

"And if you ever need my help in the future, I'll be there. But… I want to stay with my sister."

It was Michelle, younger sister of Silver Fox.

Alex vaguely remembered her.

She had a powerful ability—diamond skin, nearly invulnerable.

But as Alex had said: to stay or to leave, it was up to them.

He didn't try to stop anyone.

He nodded calmly, glancing at the rest who hadn't spoken.

"You all feel the same as Michelle?"

"Yeah… thank you, but…"

"No problem," Alex replied, waving a hand.

"I respect your decision. We part ways here."

Then he turned to Selena.

"Take care of the departures."

Selena nodded and gestured to a group of her subordinates.

Within moments, vehicles were prepared.

Those who chose to follow Alex were guided into one set of transports.

The others—those who had made their choice to leave—departed in another.

Soon, the landing field was nearly empty again.

Only Alex, Wolverine, Gambit, and the Silver Fox sisters remained.

"Alex," Gambit said, hands in his coat pockets.

"This little adventure was thrilling. But I hope I never go through it again."

Then he turned to Wolverine.

"Logan? With any luck, this is goodbye—for good."

And with that, he spun around and disappeared back into the plane without another word.

He simply glanced at Wolverine, then quietly got into Selena's car.

Gambit and Logan were never the type to follow anyone. That much, Alex had expected from the beginning.

Gambit was a free spirit, always had been.

There was no point comparing him to the Wolverine from the original timeline.

Because that Wolverine had been shot in the head with adamantium and lost his memories.

Thanks to Alex's intervention, none of that ever happened.

Logan remembered everything.

His wife was still alive.

And judging by the way he and Silver Fox had been "exchanging looks" on the plane, Alex could tell—they were definitely getting back together.

Probably going to run off into the sunset and live in peace.

Oh, and let's not forget the little sister, Michelle.

Didn't she say she wanted to stay with her sister?

"A man, his wife, and his sister-in-law living together?

Sounds like the setup for one hell of a sitcom."

"The Life of Logan: A Tale of Two Sisters."

"Man, I could write a whole drama series."

Shaking his head, Alex cleared away those chaotic thoughts and leaned back against the seat.

And just like that, he slipped once more into his spiritual world.

Until recently, his massive mental power—ninety times that of a normal human—had just been a number on a system panel.

What did it really do?

Could he resist Scarlet Witch's chaos magic in Age of Ultron?

Could he fight off Loki's scepter?

Strong or not, it was still intangible.

Until what happened at Three Mile Island.

Since that encounter with the mysterious blue stone, something had changed.

His once-invisible mental power had become something he could feel.

Like someone had dipped it in glowing blue ink—it now stood out clearly.

With a simple thought, Alex could enter a mental dimension—a world rendered in cool, shifting hues of blue, almost like a thermal imaging overlay.

But it wasn't just about heat.

It could perceive everything.

It was precise. Unrealistically precise.

With focus, he could direct it at a single point and "observe" every detail.

Alex focused his perception on the seat beneath him.

He could "feel" the leather cover.

The padding underneath.

Even the metal frame structure deep inside.

Every layer was crystal clear under this sense.

If he had to describe it in words…

It was like the divine sense you'd read about in cultivation novels.

Not just vision—but touch.

Heat, pressure, texture, and other physical traits could all be sensed.

And it didn't stop there.

He could even control this power—reach out, so to speak.

Alex's eyes flew open.

His pupils dilated slightly.

A look of utter disbelief crossed his face.

If his mental power could truly touch physical objects…

Then didn't that mean…?
