Marvel: Starting with the Homelander Template Chapter 178

A thunderous impact echoed through the air as a blurry figure slammed directly into one of the Bloodthirsty Devourers mid-flight.

The beast's massive frame jolted from the hit before plummeting like a meteor, crashing hard into the ground.

Only then did the blurred figure come into focus.

Alex stood over the fallen beast, expression cold, posture relaxed but commanding—like he'd just swatted a fly.

There was no doubt about it.

The one who had just bodily slammed the Bloodthirsty Devourer from the sky…

He'd taken the beast on in hand-to-hand combat—and won.

The Mogadorians watching from the ground felt their hearts clench involuntarily.

And that was just the beginning.

The downed Devourer wasn't dead. With a furious roar, it surged forward, maw wide, lunging to bite Alex's head off.

At the same time, the remaining Devourers—wings spread wide—also launched themselves at him from the skies. On the ground, the Grebeks, their brutish cousins, charged like stampeding bulls.

An army of monstrous alien beasts descended on Alex like a pack of hungry predators.

From the sidelines, Commander Kild and his Mogadorian elites sneered coldly.

Even a monster Earthling couldn't survive being swarmed by so many of their strongest war beasts.

A nearly inaudible sound slipped through the chaos—too soft to draw attention.

Alex had reached out and grabbed the snapping jaws of the Bloodthirsty Devourer.

One hand on the upper jaw, the other on the lower.

And with a single, fluid motion—

Maintaining that grip, Alex launched into the air—dragging the enormous beast with him like it weighed nothing.

In the same instant, two searing beams of heat shot from his eyes, firing directly down the monster's throat.

The Devourer's internal organs were obliterated in a blink.

Its body spasmed once, then went limp.

Alex casually released it.

The massive corpse hit the ground with a sickening thud.

The cheers and bloodlust on the Mogadorians' faces froze like ice.

Shock rippled through the crowd like a tidal wave.

This thing—this terrifying apex predator they had always relied on—had just been killed like an overgrown turkey.

All at once, the Mogadorians understood how Black Robe's beast had died.

But Alex wasn't done.

Without pause, he launched toward the second Devourer mid-flight.

Another beast collapsed from the sky.

He repeated the motion again and again, each kill precise and effortless.

Each Bloodthirsty Devourer, supposedly a galactic-level threat, dropped like overfed flies—crashing into the dirt one by one.

They were nothing more than slightly stronger trash mobs.

Commander Kild and his officers swallowed hard, their foreheads slick with sweat.

Their bodies trembled.

They stared at Alex as if he were some apocalyptic god descended from the stars.

What was this creature?

Even in the vastness of space, no being had ever wielded such horrifying power.

"Kild… we need to retreat!"

One of the Mogadorian lieutenants broke the silence, his voice low and urgent.

"Yes! If we stay any longer, we'll be annihilated. This monster isn't someone we can fight!"

Another officer added, his voice full of dread.

Kild gritted his teeth.

Of course he knew they were right.

"Retreat!" he barked.

Without hesitation, he turned and led a detachment toward the forest, hoping to escape the nightmare.

The other Mogadorians—already scared half to death—ran like condemned men granted a sudden pardon.

They were utterly broken.

No one wanted to fight Alex anymore.

Their only hope was that the remaining Devourers and Grebeks could buy them time to run.

Alex's super hearing and supersonic flight meant no one could escape—not really.

He didn't pursue immediately.

First, he had a little cleaning up to do.

How long would it take to finish off the beasts?

The kill routine was simple:

1. Supersonic burst to the target.

2. Force the jaws open.

3. Fire heat vision down the throat.

Each one took just a few seconds.

One after another, the Bloodthirsty Devourers fell like meteors.

Within moments, the sky was clear. Not one remained alive.

Then Alex turned his gaze toward the Grebeks still on the ground.

At first, they fought back—savage claws and bellowing howls filling the air.

But their resistance didn't last.

The battle sounds grew fainter.

When the dust settled, the valley was a graveyard.

Bodies of Mogadorians and alien beasts were scattered across the battlefield like broken toys.

And standing in the center—calm, composed, unharmed—

He turned his head toward the forest where the Mogadorians had fled.

A cold gleam entered his eyes.

"Now then… the hunt begins."

He vanished into the air, a sonic boom trailing behind.

Screams echoed from deep within the woods.

One by one, they were snuffed out.

With super speed and hyper hearing, Alex didn't need to chase.

He simply listened—to heartbeats. To breathing. To whispers of terror.

Minutes later, Alex stood alone, brushing his hands together like he'd just taken out the trash.

With a soft explosion of air, he soared back into the sky—leaving behind only silence.
