Nolan closed his eyes tightly as arcane energy coursed through him, guiding his consciousness into the quantum dimension. In an instant, his eyes glowed a deep crimson, and an overwhelming pressure seized his soul like a vice.
But Nolan wasn't new to this. He already knew exactly how to locate the dimensional core.
A moment later, he stood before a glowing orb the very nucleus of the particle dimension. With practiced precision, his soul surged toward it, crashing against the core with unshakable will.
Instantly, a monstrous force expelled him from the dimension. But it didn't matter.
Something had changed.
He could feel it his body now resonated with the very fabric of this unique plane of existence.
At the same moment, another Nolan lying in the Life Cradle pod opened his eyes as well.
In perfect unison, the two spoke:
The pod doors hissed open.
Wanda and Connors could only stare in awe as the Nolan from the Life Cradle stepped toward the real Nolan.
The two versions of Nolan reached out and merged.
The Ancient One raised a brow, surprised. "I expected a struggle for dominance between your primary and secondary consciousness. But they integrated so easily?"
Both Nolans, now speaking with one voice, replied, "There's no 'dominant' between us. We have one purpose: transcendence."
The secondary Nolan began to dissolve into particle streams of data and soul-energy flowing into the original. His limbs faded, becoming part of the whole. His body and soul were being reconstructed at the subatomic level, reforged by countless interwoven energies.
Nolan stood silent, eyes shut, absorbing data from both physical and quantum dimensions. Layer by layer, he ascended.
His soul was evolving.
His life essence was transfiguring.
Two faint pulses of power flickered around him subtle yet undeniable. The laws of reality were beginning to yield to his influence.
The Ancient One finally smiled.
"Congratulations. You've taken a step no one on Earth has managed in eons."
If Nolan could fully master this level, she could finally face Dormammu one last time, then pass Earth's protection on to him. Until Doctor Strange matured, Nolan would be Earth's last line of defense.
"I couldn't have done it without you, Master."
"This was your own path."
But the Ancient One's expression darkened.
"You have to go back. Earth's in trouble."
Nolan frowned. "Now?"
"Not just now. In the future. The Symbiotes are coming."
Her voice grew serious.
"Knull remains frozen, but many of the symbiotes once used to bind him have begun to break free. They're rallying… for their god."
"Meteorites containing symbiote hosts are heading straight for Earth."
"Knull…" Nolan muttered. "Is this... my fault for returning?"
"Maybe," the Ancient One said calmly. "But right now, your body is still not fully infused with dimensional force. Only then will you become a true Celestial-class being."
Meanwhile – Two Hours Later
Inside a high-security S.H.I.E.L.D. facility…
Nick Fury pointed at the hologram showing a swarm of incoming meteorites.
"Estimated time to impact: two hours. Something's off about them. I think it's extraterrestrial."
"And we're just finding out about them now? That doesn't make sense."
"Exactly," Fury replied. "They were invisible before entering the solar system. Some sort of cloaking tech."
Reed Richards folded his arms, face tight.
"I've already alerted the rest of the Illuminati. We're preparing contingencies."
Fury added, "Whatever's in those rocks, we're not letting them hit the ground."
The captain spoke up.
"Global alert. Get civilians into bunkers or off the streets. We don't know what we're dealing with."
The alert went live. Civilians grumbled, cursed but obeyed. They'd been through enough interstellar disasters to know not to test fate.
"Let's hope it's nothing. But if it isn't, we won't blame S.H.I.E.L.D. for being cautious."
Soon, the meteors appeared on-screen. Fury gave the order:
"Hill, launch tactical nukes."
Multiple nuclear warheads launched simultaneously, closing in fast.
Just before impact, a tear in space, a black abyss, ripped open.
Every nuke vanished into the void.
Then, a massive black hand burst from the meteors and crushed a swarm of drones like toys. The monitors glitched to static.
The command center erupted in swear words.
Fury sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Any word from Oscorp?"
"Still trying to get through. Nolan's… missing."
Tony Stark and Charles Xavier were monitoring satellite footage.
The meteors were now dispersing across the planet.
"They're not that big," Charles said, "but what's inside them?"
"That's the real problem," Tony muttered. "S.H.I.E.L.D. just saw something tear space apart like it was paper."
"Friday, status on Oscorp?"
"Mr. Stark, we've connected with Norman Osborn. He sent files. Apparently, Nolan anticipated this threat long ago."
"Then where the hell is he now?"
"Out of contact. Only he knows the details."
Tony frowned as Friday uploaded the files. His eyes widened.
"Symbiotes? A million of them? And a Symbiote god?"
Charles turned toward him. "You've seen this before?"
"Yeah. One of them bonded with Peter once. Nasty piece of work. I even thought about experimenting on it back then."
"And now… there's a god of them?"
"Any time someone claims to be a god," Tony sighed, "they're always in trouble."
