Aboard the helicopter, General Ross turned to the window at his daughter's alarmed voice. When he looked down, his eyes lit up.
The two monsters were fighting each other.
"Finally, some good news," Ross muttered. "Let's just hope they tear each other apart."
Bruce also leaned closer to the window. Seeing the fight erupt below, he hesitated, his foot hovering over the open door.
If they were already fighting, maybe he didn't need to jump in, yet.
On the ground, the Abomination stared at the three-headed hellhound standing before him, its fanged mouths curled in a low snarl. He instinctively flinched for just a moment.
But then, with a shake of his head, Blonsky charged.
In his mind, he was still the apex predator. The serum had turned him into something beyond human; stronger, faster, nearly invincible. No way was he going to back down, not even from that monster.
The three-headed dog didn't move at first. One of its heads turned to scan the crowd, eyes glowing dimly through the smoke and flames.
Even in its monstrous form, some instincts remained. It searched for one thing; its master.
And once it found him, safe and unharmed, it turned back.
All six glowing eyes locked onto the Abomination.
The time for hesitation was over.
Abomination was nearly on top of the beast by now, barely ten meters away. But something in him shifted. The closer he got, the more the air burned.
The temperature was rising fast. He felt it prickling across his skin, even through his enhanced durability.
These definitely weren't normal flames. Still, he couldn't stop now. Pride and adrenaline pushed him forward.
With a guttural roar, he swung a massive fist straight at the beast's central head.
But the dog moved faster.
In a blur, its center head snapped forward, jaws wide.
Its burning fangs clamped down on Abomination's arm. The sound of searing flesh was instant. Steam hissed where drool met skin.
Abomination howled in agony, swinging his free arm wildly to beat the creature back, but the monster just wouldn't budge.
His blows landed causing sonic booms, but the dog was solid, completely unflinching.
Worse still, he couldn't pull free. Its bite was too strong. He could feel the heat burning straight through to the bone.
And then, the second head lunged.
Another set of jaws clamped onto his other arm.
"No…" he muttered in disbelief and despair.
In one terrifying motion, the beast lifted him off the ground, both arms locked in its searing grip.
The Abomination writhed, suspended like a slab of meat. The smell of burning flesh filled the air.
His green skin blistered and blackened. Even his face and chest, just from the proximity, began to char.
His screams echoed across the street.
Around them, pedestrians who had been fleeing now slowed, turning to watch from a safe distance.
What they saw shocked them.
This wasn't a battle. It was a one-sided massacre.
The green monster they'd feared, so unstoppable only moments ago, was being utterly destroyed.
The hellhound wasn't just stronger. It was faster, more vicious. Its flames were supernatural. Its power seemed overwhelming.
On the helicopter, General Ross and Bruce watched in stunned silence.
Both men swallowed hard.
They knew what the Abomination was, how strong he must have become using the Hulk's blood.
If he couldn't stand a chance against that monster…
Bruce realized just how close he'd come to leaping to his death. If he'd jumped just a moment earlier, that could've been him in the beast's jaws.
