Jiangli and Fu Shiyan sat together, while Xia Xin and Wen Zishu tactfully chose seats to the side.
While waiting for the gourmet food to be served, Jiangli and Fu Shiyan casually chatted about Jiao Yingyun’s situation.
Jiangli wanted to know how Jiao Yingyun was doing.
As Fu Shiyan poured Jiangli a glass of water, he said, "She contacted my secretary, and we’ve already started arranging a job for her."
Hearing this, Xia Xin’s eyes sparkled, genuinely happy for Jiao Yingyun.
Jiangli also nodded in agreement, "That’s good to hear."
Fu Shiyan smiled faintly, "According to the Abbot, considering her work experience, we’re arranging an appropriate job. The Abbot needn’t worry."
"Alright, then I’ll toast with tea instead of wine, a cup to Mr. Fu, thank you for your generous assistance!" Jiangli raised his glass of water and made a toast to Fu Shiyan from afar.
Fu Shiyan raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile on his lips, and picked up his glass to clink it against Jiangli’s in the air.
The two conversed happily.
The others seemed to merely serve as a backdrop.
Wen Zishu, who normally loved to talk, couldn’t find a chance to interject today and could only sulkily sit there, focusing on his meal.
By the time their gathering came to an end, it was already past eight o’clock. Shang Junxiao had just finished up as well, and he contacted Duan Jianchuan.
Duan Jianchuan relayed the message to Fu Shiyan.
The group was just about to leave the front door of the private restaurant.

As usual, Wen Zishu drove, with Xia Xin in the passenger seat.
