"Yes," Fu Shiyan nodded in agreement, then added with concern, "Make sure to get it checked thoroughly. It wouldn’t be good if you’ve hurt something vital."
Fu Yuxing met his cold gaze, and his face darkened, more convinced than ever that Fu Shiyan was doing this on purpose!
Wan Qing’s expression also darkened, as she too realized Fu Shiyan was being intentional.
But she was more composed than Fu Yuxing, holding onto him and saying in a deep voice, "Go change your pants first."
Fu Yuxing glared fiercely at Fu Shiyan then shook off Wan Qing and turned to go upstairs.
Watching his retreating figure, Duan Jianchuan sneered internally at his presumption.
The third brother was still sitting right there, and yet he dared to covet the Abbot. The only reason there was no direct confrontation was because of the third brother’s grace.

Fu Yi was feeling overwhelmed, unsure how the situation had evolved to this, and quickly changed the subject, "Shiyan, have you had dinner yet since you arrived? As luck would have it, I’ve asked someone to prepare dinner. How about we eat together later?"

Fu Yi quietly heaved a sigh of relief and gave Wan Qing a meaningful look.
Wan Qing understood immediately and said, "I’ll go make the arrangements."
With that, she left the drawing-room first.
Fu Yi then turned his attention back to Fu Shiyan and the others, "What’s the name of the young lady, and where is she from?"
"Jiangli." Jiangli answered flatly, "From F City."
Fu Yi: "Jiangli? You live in F City, that’s quite close to Shiyan. What do your parents do?"
Fu Yi had misunderstood Jiangli’s name.
Jiangli fell silent for a moment but didn’t correct him, "I’m an orphan."
Fu Yi paused, embarrassed, "I was out of line..."
"It’s alright." Jiangli said indifferently, "It doesn’t really bother me, having parents or not makes no difference to me."
Fu Yi, with an apologetic smile, didn’t know how to continue.
Jiangli stood up and said, "I would like to use the restroom."
"Um..." Fu Yi hastily asked the nanny, "Aunty Wu, please take Miss Jiang to the restroom."
The nanny came over and gestured politely to Jiangli, "Miss Jiang, please follow me."
Jiangli nodded and followed the nanny out.
Before leaving, she gave Fu Shiyan and Xia Xin a look.
Fu Shiyan understood and said nothing.
After Jiangli left, Fu Yi continued, "I’ll call your fourth and fifth uncles later and have them come over for dinner. It’d be nice for us to get together."

While Fu Shiyan was holding his ground against the Fu family, Jiangli had already gone into the restroom.
The nanny waited outside, unaware that Fu’er was following Jiangli.
