Fu Yi was so frightened he felt his soul was no longer in his body. Hearing Wan Qing’s words, he once again was taken aback, "Who is Liao Qianqian? Wan Qing, what does this Liao Qianqian you’re talking about have to do with all this?"
Wan Qing couldn’t hear a word Fu Yi was saying, her mind consumed with the image of that cup of bloodied water, and the fact that Liao Qianqian had returned.

With a face gone pale, Wan Qing scurried upstairs in panic, she had to get Yuxing and escape together!
But as she reached the foot of the stairs, she felt a chilling wind attack her from behind.
Her body stiffened, and trembling, she turned around, only to find no one there.
Wan Qing let out a sigh of relief.
However, before she could fully exhale,
she heard a raspy noise, as if metal scraping the ground, penetrating her eardrum, grating against it.
Wan Qing’s body stiffened and with a swish, she turned around, only to see a woman in a white dress with long hair, her face deathly pale, yet her eyes blood red, standing at the mouth of the staircase.
Terrified, Wan Qing screamed and covered her head, turning to run outside.
Upstairs in his room, Yuxing, restless and uneasy, suddenly heard the screams below. His heart skipped a beat, leaving him swept up in unease.
He clenched the fruit knife he held tightly, hesitant for a moment, but then, gritting his teeth, he pulled open the door and walked out.
Staying inside would only mean waiting for death, going out might offer a slim chance of survival!
He couldn’t believe that Liao Qianqian could kill him!
Yuxing bit his lip, gripped the dagger, shaking, groping his way downstairs.
As soon as he reached the top of the stairs, Yuxing saw the figure standing at the bottom of the staircase.
That figure, he recognized at a glance, it was Liao Qianqian!
Yuxing was jolted, the dagger in his hand clattering to the floor.
Liao Qianqian, intent on pursuing Wan Qing, heard the noise and turned around, her evil Qi surging as she laid eyes on Yuxing.
That one look had Yuxing’s legs turn to jelly, nearly causing him to tumble to the ground.
"You, don’t come any closer!"
Yuxing grabbed onto the railing beside him to steady himself, picked up the dagger from the floor, pointing it at Liao Qianqian, trying to threaten her.
Wan Qing heard Yuxing’s voice, turned her head and saw him, she immediately shouted, "Run outside! Hurry!"
Staying inside, they’d die!
Yuxing snapped back to reality, warily watching Liao Qianqian.
He held the dagger, pointing it at Liao Qianqian while tentatively moving downstairs.
Liao Qianqian almost wanted to pounce immediately, but remembering Jiangli’s words, she stood her ground and did not pursue.
Seeing her not blocking his way, Yuxing thought she was afraid of him wielding the dagger and relaxed slightly, making his way awkwardly downstairs.
As soon as he stepped off the staircase, Yuxing grabbed Wan Qing’s hand, and they both ran outside together.
"What’s wrong, what happened to you two?"
Fu Yi and the others had come out of the dining room by then, only to see the two running out with their eyes closed.
Fu Shiyan and Duan Jianchuan exchanged a look.
He suddenly spoke, "Something must have happened, I see Third Aunt and Yuxing are both looking very pale. It’s best if we all go take a look in case something happens."
"Yeah, let’s all go and see, we don’t want anything to happen to the two of them and then be blamed later for being so many yet helpless!" Fu Song said, his voice laced with snark as he led the way out, seeking an opportunity to mock them.
Fu Lin, always in sync with Fu Song, naturally followed suit without wanting to be outdone.
The children they brought along also followed suit.
