Jiangli heard the words but stared straight at the blocks of Golden Thread Sandalwood on the table.
It was as if she hadn’t heard Master Sun’s words, her gaze fixed on them.
"Little girl, could it be that none of these pieces of wood catch your eye?" Seeing her silent, Master Sun began to doubt himself.
Jiangli didn’t answer; instead, she nudged Xia Xin with her elbow. "Little Xiazi, what do you think?"
Xia Xin was observing the blocks of Golden Thread Sandalwood.
Caught off guard by Jiangli’s address, the corner of his mouth twitched.
The nickname sounded so... lacking in spirit?

Before Jiangli could respond, Master Sun’s voice rose significantly.
The apprentice cutting wood nearby looked over.

Xia Xin scratched his head and said with little confidence, "This... This Yin Energy seems strange. Doesn’t Yin Energy usually scatter and contaminate whoever it touches? But... this Yin Energy doesn’t seem to be spreading. Could there be some special reason for this, Old Ancestor?"

Jiangli asked, "When the wood was delivered, did someone from the Jiang Family come as well?"
Confused, Master Sun still replied, "Yes, it seemed to be the eldest son of the old Jiang Family patriarch, a skinny man who looked like he didn’t weigh two pounds. I was afraid a gust of wind would blow him away."
Master Sun, have you noticed your attention drifting off topic?
Jiangli found it somewhat amusing, but with a calm demeanor, she inquired, "So the coffin has been taken away by the Jiang Family as well?"
Master Sun answered, "Right, after we finished processing and making the coffin, the Jiang Family people took it away. I heard that these past few days, since the old patriarch’s wake ended, he was to be buried."
