Wen Shulin’s face flushed with color as she stroked Chen Cheng’s back, "I missed you too."
She let go of her hand, "Have you been tired these days?"
Chen Cheng sat down on the sofa, and Wen Shulin handed him a bottle of water, deliberately saying, "The acquisition agreement was signed 5 days ago, didn’t Mei Xiang tire you out in the remaining time?"
The corner of Chen Cheng’s mouth curved up into a smile, teasing, "You’d be surprised, Mei Xiang really didn’t tire me out at all."
"Stop joking with me."
Wen Shulin lightly punched Chen Cheng and stood up, "I’ll go run a bath for you, soak and relieve some fatigue."
"Okay." Chen Cheng stretched lazily.
In the bathroom, the warm water enveloped Chen Cheng’s body as he leaned on a towel folded into a pillow by the bathtub’s edge, staring at the ceiling, spacing out.
Mei Xiang: Brother Cheng, have you arrived?
Chen Cheng looked at the WeChat message on his phone, replied: "I have."
"Giggle, did you miss me?"
Mei Xiang: "Then won’t you look at me?"
Chen Cheng shook his head smilingly and initiated a video call.
Mei Xiang appeared on the screen, still lying in the tatami where they had slept together these past few days.

After hanging up, Chen Cheng soaked for a while longer before getting up to rinse off and wrapped in a towel, he stepped out.
He looked towards Wen Shulin’s half-open bedroom door, thought for a moment, then turned back to the entryway and took his bag in as well.
Wen Shulin was sitting in front of the vanity, applying some night cream, "Are you done bathing?"
Chen Cheng lay down on the soft bed, "Still, a bed is more comfortable to sleep in!"
Wen Shulin chuckled, "What about the tatami, not good?"
Chen Cheng: "Really not too great, it’s uncomfortable."
"And you video calling her during your bath didn’t make you uncomfortable?" Wen Shulin asked with a smile.
Chen Cheng pretended to be nervous, "What, do you have cameras in your own house too?"
Wen Shulin: "Don’t even try, I heard everything."
"So you were eavesdropping on my bath!" Chen Cheng pulled her pouting face towards him, "Don’t be sneaky, just come in next time, I’m very generous."
"Then tell me, who is better, me or Mei Xiang?"
Chen Cheng stealthily took something out from his bag, handing it to Wen Shulin, "Neither are as good as this."
Wen Shulin looked at the share transfer agreement in front of her, "I knew you could do it."
Chen Cheng handed her the agreement, sitting up, "Mei Xiang is not easy to deal with, it took a lot to convince her stepmother to make this acquisition happen."

Chen Cheng took the opportunity to loosen the tie on the nightgown.
She stopped Chen Cheng’s hand.
Chen Cheng looked puzzled, "What’s wrong? Are you really mad?"
Wen Shulin looked into his eyes, "You’re meeting Xiao Er tomorrow, don’t waste effort on me."
She continued, "You better rest well tonight, in case she notices something."
This was the first time Chen Cheng had heard such words from any of his women.
He hugged Wen Shulin again, "So we just sleep tonight?"

Wen Shulin flipped over, lifting her hair, and asked with a smile, "Did I really send eight hundred?"
"Why don’t you count them?"
Wen Shulin shyly turned her head away, "I won’t count."
Chen Cheng stretched out his hand, touching the petal patterns on the nightgown, "One."
His voice was low, his fingers slowly moving to the next petal, "Two?"
Wen Shulin’s breathing became slightly more rapid, she caught Chen Cheng’s restless hand, "Stop messing around."
However, Chen Cheng didn’t stop, "Four, five..."
Wen Shulin held Chen Cheng’s cheeks, looking into those mischievous yet profound eyes, and lightly bit her lower lip, "How are you so seductive?"

They resettled themselves, Wen Shulin cradling Chen Cheng in her arms, gently stroking his hair.
"Have we got this the wrong way around?" Chen Cheng asked.
Wen Shulin smiled softly, "Do you not like it this way?"
The night deepened, and in Chen Cheng’s first night back in Beijing, he fell deeply asleep in the soft embrace of Wen Shulin.
