Mech: Shattering of the Galaxy Chapter 749

Chapter 749: Chapter 522 Race Registration

“Dean Horace, I admit the level of the Mecha Battle Competition, but that’s not a condition to contend with the internal selections of the academy. Our academy’s seed players also possess extraordinary strength, and if we take what Instructor Bach says, then it’s unfair to our excellent students.”

“Seconded.” Two people next to them raised their hands, Bach glanced over to see that they were also instructors of the senior grades.

Dean Horace and Carrel, the two vice deans with the most power, exchanged glances and nodded at each other, then Horace looked toward Bach:

“Instructor Bach, external competition achievements should not serve as a reason to take precedence over internal results, but we acknowledge the role represented by these achievements, so we recognize the first proposal mentioned by Instructor Lindberg.”

“If you have seen his combat videos, you would believe what I say!” Bach’s eyes were sharp as he argued his point to everyone present.

“Even if we have watched them, we would still reach the same decision, because external competition results should not be the sole criteria. If this student truly has the level you mention, he will have a place in the ranking match among the strong,” Horace said sternly. As the controller of the Council, rules were above all.

As for whether Lindberg had any ulterior motives, that was not within his scope of consideration, because what he proposed was in accordance with the rules, and that was enough.

“I reserve my opinion, I will surely fight for him to be in the starting lineup,” Bach surveyed the room, said no more, and then sat down.

“If it were next year, perhaps, but this year, I don’t believe he is much better than our excellent students,” Lindberg scoffed, clearly unimpressed with Bach’s eagerness to bump off a senior student.

The nominations continued and Mu Fan’s name was not among the final twenty seed players.

“Next, we proceed to the nominations for seed players in the Fighting competition, twenty places…”

Soon, a new round of nominations began. Ruan Xiongfei was not present, already off somewhere with Dean Andrees. Without such a ruffian, the Fighting Department had disputes, but they were clearly not as intense as the Mecha Department’s.

Shortly, the seed player candidates were decided, this time without a single freshman.

“Instructor Bach, I suggest you take a look at the Fighting Department’s selection process,” Lindberg jeered across at Bach.

“Instructor Lindberg, if not for the limitations of our respective fields, I would definitely nominate student Mu Fan for the starting lineup of the Fighting Department,” Bach said with an indifferent expression.

“Ha ha ha, a Mecha Department student participating in the Fighting battles, I’m now starting to wonder if this Mu Fan isn’t your own illegitimate child.”

“He is the first recruit of the Army Reserve, he is a core student, his personal combat ability is impeccable,” Bach retorted coldly.

“He is a Mecha major, he’s not even a member of the Fighting Club. Esteemed members of this meeting, I think Instructor Bach has been quite unreasonable and emotional, and no longer suitable for the current discussion,” Lindberg rose and commented.

A few senior instructors from the Fighting Department nodded in agreement.

“Instructor Bach, please watch your language. If you make another off-topic remark, you will be removed from the meeting,” finally, a vice dean glanced at Lindberg, then at Bach, and said.

“No need, I’ll leave on my own,” Bach stood up, his gaze fixed on Lindberg as he spoke gravely.

Then he left the glass hall under everyone’s watchful eyes.

When he arrived at the top of Mount Gaidu, he was welcomed by the dawn spreading across the sky.

Mount Gaidu, located at the center of Dingchuan Academy, had gentle slopes, beautiful scenery, and a flat summit with an expansive view, making it an excellent site for construction.

Bach, the middle-aged man with a crew cut, squinted at the magnificent view tinged red by the sunrise at the edge of his vision and murmured to himself, “Must we always see the consequences before we are willing to act? Since when has Dingchuan become so timid and lost the courage even to try? Mu Fan, I hope you turn out even better than we imagined. If that is indeed the case, I am willing to back you up.”

Shaking his head, he slowly walked away, the senior instructor’s figure gradually vanishing at the mountaintop.

Mu Fan had no idea that a senior instructor he had never met was vouching for him at the Council meeting.

Because at the moment, he hadn’t had the chance to rush back to his apartment yet when he was intercepted by the excited White Hair and Fatty.

“Where to?” Mu Fan looked at his two unusually spirited teammates in surprise. They seemed a bit too overexcited.

“The ranking competition for top fighters is open for registration, hurry up and check out the beauties!”

So a bewildered Mu Fan, still pondering the connection between registering and checking out beauties, was dragged away by the two shameless guys.

Dingchuan Academy, Time Square.

By now, the place was packed with people. There were more than ten registration points, but still, they were surrounded by crowds.

The chubby guy had sharp eyes and immediately dragged the two of them towards a registration point in a corner.

As for why that spot…

“Are you here to register?”

The two lovely girls in charge of the registration simultaneously looked at the pudgy guy in front of them.

“Yes,” the chubby guy nodded like a pecking chicken.

The two girls hesitated as they looked at the chubby guy’s physique, but after seeing the confident shine in his eyes, they politely asked, “This is the registration point for the ranking competition, which involves fighting, mecha, and fleet command. What special skills do you possess?”

“Does shouting ‘666’ count?”

Yin Shuai, who was beside them pretending to be all melancholic while stroking the few strands of his white hair, had his gaze set at a 30-degree angle while discreetly looking at an indescribable part of the girl next to him…

But at that moment, when the fatty spoke up, Yin Shuai’s hand trembled, and he plucked off a few strands of his white hair.

A cold silence fell around them…

The two cute girls stared at the chubby guy with a deadpan expression:

“Not very friendly…” The chubby guy pouted and turned around, but when he looked back at his buddies, especially White Hair who was closest to him, he pointed with his fingers, forming two numbers, and then mouthed a letter.

White Hair inhaled cool air through his nose, ignoring the few precious hairs that had fallen, lifted his head to the sky for three seconds to ensure his nosebleed wouldn’t burst out, then returned to his normal composure with a smile.

With a smile on his face, he walked forward and passed by the stunned chubby guy.

Damn, weren’t we just supposed to look and leave?

White Hair stopped about a meter and a half away from the two girls, pretending to look coolly off into the sky.

“And you? Yeah, you with the white hair, what are you here for?”

“Are you sure you’re not with that sleazy fatty?”

“No!” White Hair shook his head like a bobblehead.

“Alright, tell me about your special skills.”

“My special skills… tsk, tsk, tsk… my special skills…”

White Hair had a lecherous smile on his face as he extended his right hand, his five fingers rhythmically waving like the sea, moving back and forth in a indecent manner.

“You scram!” The two cute girls were so angry they almost got up and threw their light computer tablets at his face.

White Hair immediately withdrew his hand and looked at them innocently, “What? I was just telling you about my special skill, typing. I am a master in the Light Computer Information specialty, look at my agile fingers.”

His palms moved like waves, going beep beep beep…
