MHA: Man Of Steel Chapter 17

Iida went first alongside Tsuyu. His posture was stiff as ever, every step precise, though Tsuyu's frog-like leaps made her nearly match him. The two crossed the line to polite applause from a few classmates.

Next came Uraraka and Ojiro. She floated across the track halfway through, landing lightly while Ojiro used his tail to propel himself forward in bursts.

Then it was Aoyama and Mina. Aoyama posed dramatically before starting, firing his navel laser to "glide" forward — though it was clear he was more interested in looking fabulous than actually being fast. Mina, on the other hand, sprinted with surprising agility, her acid slicking the ground just enough to give her short bursts of speed.

Finally, it was Izuku and Katsuki.

The two stood side-by-side at the starting line. Katsuki's smirk was sharp, almost predatory, as sparks danced faintly between his palms. Izuku simply smiled back, calm and relaxed.

Both launched forward instantly. Izuku's stride was smooth and effortless, eating up the distance with every step. Katsuki gritted his teeth when he realized Izuku was already ahead without even trying.

"Tch—like hell!" Katsuki snarled, detonating tiny blasts at his feet to propel himself forward in bursts. The explosions cracked against the pavement… but even then, the gap didn't close.

They crossed the line — Izuku first.

Izuku tilted his head slightly, unfazed.

'I could've done that in a single second.'

Up on the sideline, Aizawa frowned, eyes narrowing slightly.

'He's holding back. Is he not taking this class seriously? I'll show him this isn't a game.'

The grip strength test came next. Izuku wrapped his hand around the device, giving what seemed like a casual squeeze — and the machine snapped in half, the screen glitching and failing to register any number.

The side-to-side stepping was next. Izuku moved so fast it was as if he'd split into multiple copies of himself, his sheer speed kicking up a swirling dust tornado that made a few students shield their faces.

Then came the softball throw.

Izuku stepped into the circle, flexing his wrist once before gripping the ball. He gave it an easy flick — using only some of his strength.

The air around him rippled from the shockwave as the ball shattered the sound barrier, vanishing into the clouds before anyone could blink. It didn't just leave the school — it was already well on its way to another district.

'That'll land in the sea… I think.' Izuku thought casually as he turned back to the stunned faces watching him.

Even Katsuki's usual scowl faltered for half a second. Mina's jaw dropped. Kirishima muttered, "Man, that's… manly."

Aizawa's lips twitched upward slightly.

'So… he is taking this seriously. Good. But that 50-meter dash result… no. I need to see his real limit.'

After the last test ended, Aizawa walked up to him.

"You're retaking the 50-meter dash," he said flatly.

Izuku just smiled. "Sure. Let's do it."

They returned to the track. Izuku crouched into position, eyes half-lidded. The starting beep came — and before anyone could blink, he was gone.

A massive blast of displaced air followed in his wake, throwing dust into Aizawa's face and sending a gust strong enough to make a few students stumble.

The machine beeped twice, confused… before displaying the result.

The class froze, processing what they were seeing. Some thought it was a glitch. Others realized it wasn't.

Aizawa smirked fully this time, his scarf shifting slightly in the breeze.

'Now… that's Plus Ultra.'

After the dust — both literal and figurative — finally settled, Aizawa stood with his hands in his pockets, scanning the group. A few students were still whispering and throwing glances toward Izuku, their curiosity burning. Katsuki stood rigid, arms crossed, jaw clenched so tightly it looked like his teeth might crack.

"Alright," Aizawa began, his tone as dry as ever, "about that whole 'lowest score gets expelled' thing…"

Half the class held their breath.

A few students slumped with relief. Mina actually groaned out loud. "Seriously? You had us freaking out for nothing?"

Aizawa's eyes narrowed slightly. "If a little pressure is enough to rattle you, then you won't last long here. That was the point — to push you past your comfort zone."

He pulled a small tablet from his pocket and tapped it. "Here are your results. Study them. This is your starting point."

He turned the screen toward them, the rankings displayed clearly:

📊 Final Rankings – Quirk Apprehension Test

6️⃣ Fumikage Tokoyami

1️⃣1️⃣ Denki Kaminari

1️⃣6️⃣ Ochaco Uraraka

As eyes darted toward the top name, Izuku stood with his hands in his pockets, not looking particularly impressed.

"Return to class after you've changed," Aizawa said, already walking off toward the faculty building. "Training doesn't stop here."

Some students still lingered to compare numbers. Uraraka shot Izuku a quick glance, a small smile tugging at her lips. Bakugo, however, looked like he was seconds away from exploding — literally.

'Tch… top of the class, huh? I'll crush him,' Bakugo thought, turning away.

Izuku just smirked faintly. 'First day, and I'm already in their heads.'

Todoroki's eyes lingered on Izuku's name for a moment longer than most, his usual calm expression barely hiding the faintest flicker of interest. That speed… that throw… who exactly is he?

Uraraka turned in her seat to glance back at Izuku, her cheeks warming slightly. "Wow, number one… guess I should've expected it after what he did in the entrance exam."

Izuku, sitting lazily with his hands in his pockets, just smirked. " I just got lucky."

Yaoyorozu crossed her arms, lips curling into a knowing smile. "Luck had nothing to do with it. That level of performance takes skill."

Katsuki gritted his teeth so hard it sounded like they might crack. "Enjoy it while it lasts, Deku… I'm taking that spot back."

Aizawa's voice cut through the chatter, completely unfazed by the tension. "That's it for today. The rankings don't mean much right now. Your future here will depend on consistency, not one good day." He stifled a yawn. "Now get back to class." before walking on.

' I'd like to redo the test again after I reach 100%, im sure by then I'll be able to turn back time. Which honestly never made sense but who cares since it looked cool as hell ' he thought.
