MHA: Man Of Steel Chapter 72

Mustafa had been relatively peaceful for the past few days. No large robberies, no hostage situations, not even the usual amount of muggings. The city felt like it was catching its breath.

Still, Izuku took to the skies. To him, patrolling wasn't just about saving people—it was about the view, the wind in his face, and the calm that came with watching the city lights blink below like stars scattered across the earth. The rhythm of life, distant but steady, soothed him.

' I've got a day off tomorrow, ' he mused as he soared above the rooftops, hands folded behind his head. ' What should I even do? Maybe… visit Yuu?'

It had been days since he'd been around any of the women he'd gotten intimate with. Not because he was scared or awkward—but because he knew better than to smother the flame. Distance made them think of him more, crave him more. He smirked at the thought, imagining them lying awake at night, caught between frustration and longing.

A flicker of motion below caught his attention. His ears tuned in instantly, sharp as ever—glass breaking. Someone had forced their way into a quiet home, the kind of suburban house where families should feel safe.

Izuku's smile sharpened. Perfect timing.

In an instant, he shot downward like a bullet, the air cracking in his wake. The would-be thief barely had time to look up before Izuku blurred past him, coiling his arms with iron strength and wrapping him tight against a thick tree trunk. The man struggled, muffled curses spilling from his mouth, but it was pointless.

"You picked the wrong night," Izuku muttered, leaving a neatly folded letter pinned to the man's chest—his subtle calling card. He dialed the police and was already gone before the criminal could blink twice.

High above again, Izuku floated in the night air, listening. Waiting.

Silence. Nothing but the steady hum of the city.

' That's probably it for tonight… I don't hear anything else.'

With a mischievous grin, he pushed higher and faster. His body cut through the sky with such force that a thunderous sonic boom echoed across the horizon. Clouds shredded apart as he ascended, scattering into wisps as though the heavens themselves parted for him.

Then, with a swift dive, he streaked down in a blur of black, landing softly on his balcony without even shaking the glass doors.

He straightened his upgraded suit, brushing imaginary dust from his shoulder.

'I should go eat dinner with Mom, ' he thought, a warm tug in his chest breaking the night's silence.

Izuku took off his suit and slipped into comfortable clothes before heading downstairs. The scent of freshly cooked food drifted through the air, guiding him to the dining room where Inko was just finishing setting the table.

"Oh, good timing, come sit," she said with her gentle, motherly smile.

He returned the smile and sat down, watching as she served him a plate filled with a balanced meal—healthy, but clearly prepared with care to taste good too.

"So, how was school?" she asked, settling across from him.

"Well, villains attacked the school," he answered casually, stabbing a piece of food with his fork and popping it into his mouth.

Her eyes widened, nearly dropping her chopsticks. "What?! When were you going to tell me?"

"When you asked," Izuku replied smoothly, chewing. "It's not a big deal. Nobody got hurt, fortunately. If anything, it kinda helped the class realize these people can appear at any moment, unannounced."

Inko let out a long sigh, pressing a hand against her chest. "As long as you're not hurt… honestly, you're going to give me gray hairs one of these days."

He chuckled softly, sipping his drink. "That's nothing new."

She narrowed her eyes at him, then softened with a smile. "So, when are we doing movie night again?"

He tilted his head in thought. "Hmm… not sure. Why not tomorrow? I'm free the whole day—unless any of my friends decide to hang out."

"Oh, well, it'll be at night, so you can keep your day," she said with a little nod, her smile returning. "By the way, a package arrived this morning. Why didn't you tell me? What if I wasn't home?" she asked with a pout, folding her arms like a scolding teacher.

"Ah, sorry," Izuku said quickly, scratching the back of his neck. "Where did you put it?"

"It's in your room, on your desk," she answered, puffing her cheeks slightly. "Guess you didn't have any homework today."

"I mean… we did get attacked by villains," Izuku replied with a grin. "Not even the worst teacher would give out homework after that."

That made her chuckle, shaking her head. "Fair point. But still—only you could treat something like that so lightly."

Izuku just smirked and kept eating, appreciating the warmth of the simple moment.

After dinner, Izuku helped rinse off the last of the plates, his hands brushing against Inko's a few times, each accidental touch lingering a bit too long to be innocent. She shot him a side glance but didn't say anything—only the faint curve of her lips gave away that she noticed.

They dried the dishes together, the room quiet except for the faint clinks of ceramic and running water. When they finally finished, Inko stretched her back and let out a small sigh. "Alright, I'm calling it a night."

She turned toward the hall, hips swaying naturally in those snug house shorts, and just as she passed him, Izuku's hand came down hard across her ass.

Smack!

The sound echoed in the kitchen, sharp and bold. Inko froze mid-step, her head whipping around with a glare, but her lips curled into a slow, dangerous smile. Her eyes burned with that familiar mix of annoyance and desire.

"Don't rile me up now," she warned in a low, husky tone, placing a hand on her hip. "I'll make sure you can't do anything tomorrow if you start something."

Izuku only smirked, leaning against the counter with that calm arrogance. "We'll see," he replied, voice dripping with challenge.

She narrowed her eyes at him one last time before turning, hips swaying even more exaggeratedly as she disappeared into her bedroom. Izuku's eyes followed until her door clicked shut.

The smirk on his face widened.

He walked briskly to his own room, shutting the door behind him. His gaze immediately locked onto the package sitting on his desk. A box he had been waiting on all week. His pulse quickened as he approached.

With a quick flick of focused energy, he lasered the tape open, the faint burn of heat slicing it clean. The cardboard lid popped, revealing neatly packed items inside.

Izuku ran a hand over the contents, a shiver of anticipation rolling through him. His grin widened into something sharp, almost wicked.

"Yeah… that's the stuff," he muttered to himself, fingertips brushing over each item like he was savoring them.

He leaned back in his chair, already picturing Inko's face when she realized what he had planned—half defiance, half desperate craving.

' I can't wait' he thought.
