MMA System: I Will Be Pound For Pound Goat Chapter 537

"Hello everyone! Welcome to today's video."

Dominic Georgeson's voice hit with that signature upbeat tone. Confident. Fast. Playful. His style never missed.

The camera opened to a clean set, minimalist, warm lighting, a sleek black table with the words Almighty Podcast lit in sharp LED behind him. Posters of past fights framed the wall. UFC legends.

Dominic leaned in toward the mic with a grin.

"You're watching The Almighty Podcast, your favorite fighter's favorite podcast, hosted by me, Dominic Georgeson. Former Flyweight champion, full-time martial arts nerd, and occasional internet troublemaker."

He chuckled to himself.

"We've had champions. We've had legends. We've had brawlers, strikers, wrestlers, and one guy who fought with a broken hand and still refused to pull out."

He tapped the table lightly.

"But today... today we've got something different."

He pointed at the camera, expression more animated now.

"Today we've got the man of the moment. The tournament winner. The undefeated phenom. The one who just retired a legend in Ismael Desayen and called for that shiny gold strap."

He leaned back, hands out dramatically.

"Damon Cross is in the building, people."

The background LED shifted slightly, cutting to a quick montage, Damon walking to the cage, highlights from the tournament, the spinning elbow, the liver shot, the Desayen knockout. All cut to a beat drop that matched the podcast's style.

Dominic came back on screen, eyes lit.

"We're gonna talk career. Life. Championship. And maybe, just maybe, we'll get a little personal."

He looked off set and nodded once.

"Alright. Let's bring him in."

"Damon Cross. Almighty style. Let's get it."

Damon stepped onto the set, calm and casual in a clean black tee, joggers, and fresh sneakers. His dark hair was trimmed neat, styled with just enough texture to show he cared but didn't overdo it. A short, still-growing beard lined his jaw, noticeable but not yet full. He had that quiet confidence in how he walked and sat, relaxed but present. No flash, just focused.

Dominic grinned as Damon took his seat across the table.

"Ladies and gentlemen, he's here. Damon Cross in the building!"

Damon nodded, offering a small smile. "Thanks for having me."

Dominic leaned in with a smirk. "Yo, before we even get into anything... why you do my boy Izzy like that, man?"

Damon let out a short laugh, shaking his head. "You really starting like that?"

Dominic held up both hands. "I gotta! That man had his whole career montage playing in the intro, and then boom, ghost punch. Man couldn't even retire in peace!"

Damon chuckled again, more composed this time. "Nah, for real, respect to Desayen. He's done a lot for the game. That was never about trying to disrespect a legend."

He shrugged slightly. "I just came to do my job. And I did it."

Dominic raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, but you did it like someone who took it personally."

Damon looked over, calm. "Not personal. Just professional."

Dominic laughed again, tapping the table. "Okay! Okay. He's here with the sniper lines already."

They bumped fists across the table.

"Let's get into it then," Dominic said, still smiling. "Damon Cross. Twenty one-and-oh. World Tournament winner. Retirement-ruiner. And now, future dad... and maybe, soon, the new king of the middleweights?"

Damon smirked lightly, nodding once. "That's the plan."

Dominic leaned back in his chair, giving Damon a playful smirk as the intro music to The Almighty Podcast faded out.

"Aight, aight," he said, tapping the table. "Let's get into it properly. First off, congrats on the win, bro. You looked sharp. Slick. You made it look kinda unfair out there."

Damon gave a small nod. "Appreciate it."

Dominic grinned. "So I always ask fighters this, especially after a big fight like that, how you feelin' right now? Physically? Mentally? Emotionally? You banged up at all or you just vibin'?"

He folded his arms and added with a laugh, "Or are you like, 'get me another one next week?' What's the energy right now?"

Then he leaned in just slightly, more curious now.

"And look, I know you got a lot goin' on outside the cage too. Baby on the way. Real grown man season. Does that change how you feel about fightin' now? Like... is it harder to lock in, or do you feel even more dialed in now that you got a family to fight for?"

Dominic nodded thoughtfully and waited, his tone easy but genuine.

Damon gave a quick nod, eyes steady.

"Nah, if anything, I'm more locked in now. Like yeah, there's more on my plate, but it kinda sharpens things. Makes you focus different."

He paused, leaning forward a bit.

"Before, I was fighting for myself. Now, I got a reason that's bigger than me. It doesn't distract me, it just adds weight to what I'm doing."

Then he shrugged slightly, relaxed.

"I still love the game. That hasn't changed. I just don't waste energy now. Everything I do has purpose."

Dominic grinned, leaning back in his chair with that classic relaxed posture.

"Aight, so… you called out Chemasov. He called you out. There's been back and forth. Respect, sure, but tension too. Now you got this thing goin', people talkin' about the Cross Era... and then this man steps up and says, 'nah, it's my era now' after he wins the belt."

He laughed a little, then leaned forward, voice curious but playful.

"So I gotta ask, you hearin' that, what goes through your head? You feel like someone tryna borrow your name, or you just lookin' at it like 'cool, I'll see you soon'?"

Damon smirked, resting one arm over the chair as he shrugged slightly.

"Nah, I ain't mad at it. I get it, he just got the belt. Emotions are high. Adrenaline's dumpin'. You wanna plant your flag, say you're here now. I've been there."

He paused for a second, but the smirk didn't leave.

"But let's be real. Just 'cause you win one fight, doesn't mean you're takin' over. That's not how eras work. This ain't just about belts, this is about presence. Moments. Dominance. Legacy. All that."

He looked at Dominic directly now.

"He can say what he wants. He earned that moment. But this Cross Era thing? It's not hype. It's not marketing. It's what I do. And when we meet, 'cause it's gonna happen, he's gonna see exactly why it's called that."

Damon leaned back again, calm, confident.

"Talking about eras is cool. But you gotta run it. I'm already doing that."
