MMA System: I Will Be Pound For Pound Goat Chapter 675

The camera swept across the packed arena, lights pulsing, fans roaring, and camera flashes firing from every angle. The energy was electric.

Inside the Octagon, both men were already in their corners.

Ivan Novak, calm and motionless, stared across the cage with cold intensity.

Across from him stood Robert Rein Daneur, known to fans worldwide as RRD.

He bounced lightly on his toes, fists clenched, gaze locked in.

In the center of the cage stood Deuce Baffer, microphone in hand, voice ready.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… This is the CO-MAIN EVENT of the evening!"

"Sanctioned by the UFA and held in beautiful Stockton, California, this bout is scheduled for FIVE ROUNDS in the UFA MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION… and it is for the INTERIM MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD!!!"

Baffer turned to the blue corner.

"Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner!

A mixed martial artist holding a perfect professional record of 16 wins, no losses. Standing 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing in at 185 pounds even. Fighting out of Moscow, Russia…

Ivan lifted his fist briefly, nodding as the crowd responded.

Baffer turned to the red corner.

"And now introducing his opponent, fighting out of the red corner!

A jiu-jitsu specialist holding a professional record of 20 wins, 2 losses. Standing 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighing in at 184 pounds.

Fighting out of Ede, Netherlands…

ROBERT 'RRD' REIN DANEUR!!!"

RRD raised both arms calmly, then returned to his stance, face unreadable.

Baffer stepped back, voice dropping slightly.

"And when the action begins, your referee in charge… Garne Rowen."

The two men stepped forward.

The cage door locked behind them with a thunk. The sound echoed faintly over the roar of the crowd.

Referee Garne Rowen stepped forward, motioning for both men to approach.

Ivan walked with quiet focus, eyes never leaving his opponent.

RRD moved with the steady confidence of a veteran, nodding slightly as he stepped in.

Garne looked at both.

"Alright, gentlemen. This is five rounds for the interim middleweight title. I want a clean fight. Obey my commands at all times. Protect yourselves at all times. If I say stop, you stop. Touch gloves if you want, back to your corners, and let's get after it."

The two touched gloves without hesitation. No bad blood. Just mutual respect and a shared understanding of what was at stake.

The crowd buzzed with anticipation as both men backed into their corners.

From the commentary booth, Jon Goodman's voice rolled in, calm but tight with energy.

"Alright folks… five rounds for the interim middleweight title. Ivan Novak. Robert Rein Daneur. This is a high-level matchup, no doubt about it."

Rich Alvarez added, "Ivan's undefeated. 16-0. And RRD? That man's a submission machine. Twenty-two pro fights, sixteen finishes, most by choke. This is going to be a test of composure and timing."

In the cage, the fighters settled.

Ivan bounced lightly on the balls of his feet, arms relaxed, eyes sharp. Across from him, RRD moved with slow precision, shoulders loose, head just slightly tilted. Calm. Familiar. Focused.

Marvin Duke's voice chimed in. "Both guys look dialed in. I mean, look at that poker face on RRD. That man's walked into a dozen main events. He knows how to breathe through the noise. But Ivan? This is his moment. You don't go twenty fights unbeaten by accident."

The camera cut to their corners one last time.

The arena lights dimmed slightly, signaling the official start.

It was a collision between a rising storm and a proven wall.

And just like that, the match was on.

Ivan Novak exploded out of his corner like a missile with no feeling out process.

He snapped a jab down the middle, then another. His footwork was tight, heavy on the front leg, pressure constant.

RRD circled cautiously, trying to find rhythm, but Ivan didn't give him space. A third jab snapped RRD's head back.

Jon Goodman was already leaning into his mic. "Novak's starting fast! That's a smart move against a guy like RRD. Don't give him time to set traps."

RRD responded with a quick leg kick, smack, it landed, but Ivan didn't flinch.

He kept walking him down, feinting low, then swinging a heavy right hand that grazed the temple. RRD stepped back, narrowly dodging the follow-up hook.

A textbook level change, hips low, arms tight, and in one motion, he locked his hands under the hips and drove.

Rich Alvarez snapped, "Big takedown! That's what Ivan does!"

RRD hit the mat hard, back first. But he stayed calm, instantly setting up his guard, hands framing Ivan's biceps, legs climbing.

Ivan stayed tight in the pocket, not rushing. He threw short elbows, grinding, punishing strikes. Nothing fancy. But they hurt.

Marvin Duke jumped in. "That's that Dagestan influence. Heavy hips. No space."

But RRD wasn't folding.

He threw his legs up for a triangle. Ivan postured out.

He switched to a quick armbar attempt. Ivan yanked out, landing a solid hammer fist as he did.

"RRD's dangerous off his back," Jon said. "But Novak's been here before. That top pressure is no joke."

Back in control, Ivan flattened him again. Then he passed. Quick slide. Knee slice to half guard. His shoulder smashed down against RRD's jaw.

He trapped the arm, then began working elbows, short, violent shots, cutting angles, staying tight.

But RRD absorbed them and kept moving never stopped working. He framed. Shrimped, and soon regained full guard.

The crowd was roaring already. Not just at the damage, but at the pace.

One minute into the fight, and both men were soaked in sweat.

RRD kicked off the hips and scrambled to his feet, crowd roaring behind him. Ivan chased with a hook but missed.

Now standing, RRD fired back. Jab. Leg kick. Jab. Front kick to the body.

Ivan walked through them.

This was a war. And he was happy to be in it.

And they weren't slowing down.
