Chapter 7 - Leveling up Slowly But Surely...
As a Level 5 monster, the boar had extremely high Attack Power, HP, and Defense. However, it had low Attack Speed and reaction time. Its body's turn rate was even slower given its frame.
A player only needed 20 points in Agility to easily toy with a boar on the same level. There were plenty of Assassins who loved dealing with such dumb monsters. They could easily be killed without wasting a single HP.
Yone had been one of them, and now, he was one of the best at it.
Although his agility was not as high as it was now, the body movement technique he needed to learn to achieve the breakthrough to tier 3 enabled him to easily adjust his legs and body in a flawless position when facing such slow, dumb monsters.
Yone dashed forward and he plunged his dagger deep into the boar's flank. Above its head, four points of damage appeared, it was barely noticeable when compared to its 400 hp, but he knew such a thing didn't matter since it was just a target hit dummy at this moment.
'Using the stealth bonus damage, my passive and everything combined, I only dealt four damage,' Yone bitterly smiled,' This will take a while.'
The boar let out a furious roar, spinning to face him, but Yone was already gone at that point.
With a sharp inhale, he kicked off the ground, twisting midair in a perfect backflip. He landed right behind the beast, resetting his stance before the slow-witted boar could react.
"You're mine."
The boar huffed and turned again, but Yone was already moving, positioning himself like a shadow behind a training dummy, free to strike as he pleased.

Several single-digit numbers kept appearing above his head, but Yone didn't care how low they were and kept hitting. His control over his body barely got exhausted, showcasing his mental strength of someone that used to be a tier 3 assassin.
'Truly feels amazing to fight when you have the higher ground, is this what those pro godlike players felt in my time?' Yone speculated, feeling what it truly meant to toy with something when you are simply way beyond its capabilities.
Even if the boar had high HP and Attack, it was no different than a practice dummy if it couldn't land a hit on Yone. It basically gave him experience by getting him used to this low-level and unfit body again. And Yone made sure to take the chance!

The boar, as he was on the verge of collapse, suddenly let out a frenzied roar, his eyes turning red as its massive body lunged forward, its hooves pounding the dirt.
'We're Getting desperate, are we?' Yone chuckled inwardly, but his face also displayed an expression of absolute focus. He wouldn't underestimate a level four difference just because of his current advantage.
Suddenly, his instincts screamed at him. With a sharp twist, he barely rolled out of the way as he felt the rush of air from the beast's musks, which missed him by a few inches. Without hesitation, he plunged his dagger into its exposed flank one final time.
-5...Critical hit!
Not even a full minute had passed before the boar collapsed with a heavy thud. Its HP plummeted to zero as its body slowly faded into pixels, revealing several glowing items.
Yone quickly scanned the drops, obtaining boar meat, a hide, and a small copper pouch. "It's not bad at all. It seems like the level difference made me receive more rare drops of these monster items than usual," he thought with a satisfied smile.
His fingers hovered over a faintly shimmering object,' Wild boar fang dagger? This only has a 2% chance of dropping, holy...' He smirked, clearly feeling a bit what the best players of his time felt as they played the game on the highest and challenging stages.
'A 2% drop rate. Two percent. If this were my past life, I'd have celebrated like crazy. No wonder top-tier players get so addicted to grinding that their egos are overly inflated; just one moment of luck can change everything in this game.' He then bent his body and placed the loot into his bag with a swift motion.
He had 24 spaces in his bag before the map took one of them, but after looting the items, he had only 20 spots left.

Weapons were categorized into different ranks: Common, Uncommon, Silver, Gold, Rare, and Epic.
'Do I even have the audacity to complain about getting kicked at this moment? If I'm not receiving this from this low level beast, then imagine my guild master and the elites of the guild, what they got from the bosses and hell mode dungeons, Yone suddenly felt that even his existence in the guild felt negligible in his past life.
For some reason, he suddenly felt that even he himself would have kicked him given his low squad ranking in the guild, being on the bottom three, barely meeting the day's end of their expected income.
Still, complain or not, revenge isn't even in my plans, but giving them a hard time is surely happening. I'm just that petty, hehe.' He shrugged it off, laughed, and vanished after using stealth. It was a habit after getting killed multiple times in this exact position...

Yone's experience bar increased by a visible chunk. He was now 600 experience away from Level 2. Which meant that he needed to kill two more boars or four to five more level five wolves in order to level up.
'Leveling up is still as hard as it was without changes.' Yone felt glad that nothing was out of the ordinary. Given his quests, he would be in the lead if his calculations were right.
It should be known that the only reason he gained such massive experience was the level difference and being solo. Now, I want you to imagine gaining a level while fighting monsters of the same level in a party.
'I was truly a random back then, no wonder I can get kicked out so easily,' Yone laughed at his past life's state once again since he was one of those people he was currently mocking to begin with.
