Vega proceeded to retrieve a sabre from his inventory, a brilliant blade that was dark green on the edge but white on the blunt side that exuded a dangerous level of sword intent.
Vega used the sabre to cut open his own palm as he dropped a steady stream of blood down on the ground as he looked into Max's eyes and said " Show me what you can do, boy "
The scent of the godly blood wasped into Max's nose and made his primordial senses go numb for a second.
Max had never smelled blood so rich in vitality before as he could not help but salivate at its scent.
If not for the terrifying sabre intent in the atmosphere Max would have lost control, however, the presence of Vega and his sabre kept Max's desires in check as he used [ Blood Manipulation ] to control that stream of blood and seal the patriarch's shallow wound.
Max proceeded to turn the dropped blood into small needles which he used to break random valuable objects in the courtroom with extreme accuracy, before using one of them to hurt his own palm and then absorbing the same blood to regain some of the lost HP.
" I can control blood inside others, although to a small degree and only through direct contact.
If the enemy is one tier below me, I can directly blow him up with his internal blood pressure with a simple touch.
I can use blood to regain health and use it to create weapons.
Blood manipulation is a skill that consumes minimal amount of mana for me, and I am fairly confident in its use.
I'm yet to perfect the skill, I've only used it in a handful of dire situations but it's an important weapon in my arsenal " Max said as he revealed the most important functionalities of his skill.
Vega watched the whole demonstration expressionlessly, however, his internal emotions stirred.
Max's bloodline ability was undoubtedly unparalleled amongst all vampire clans.
The Saint Maximus Clan had excellent hearing bloodline ability, The Nightblade clan had the ability to become one with shadows and see through darkness with their night vision.
The Titus clan had the ability of regeneration, where they could recover from near death injuries quickly and have unmatched vitality.
The Aurelius clan had the ability to harness intense emotions and convert them into MP, HP or SP at will giving them an advantage in any battle they fought.
However, all these abilities paled in comparison to Max's bloodline ability which allowed him to become the ruler of any bloody battlefield.
' The ancient prophecy is true- the strongest bloodline user has emerged ' Vega thought as he let a smile slip through his emotionless face as he looked at Max.
Vega had heard tales about the primordial vampires, of how they could control any chaotic battlefield encompassing millions of warriors, and now looking at Max he could visualise the terror these individuals must be once capable of.
After viewing Max's demonstration Vega said " Very impressive bloodline capabilities, If Regus were to get even a small whiff of what you are capable of he would execute you on the spot.
As a matter of fact not just Regus, all of the vampire kind would be after you, because it does say in the ancient prophecy that your kind will bring doom to everyone but yourself.

Max nodded to signify he understood
" Do you wish to be king of the vampires ?" Vega asked as he looked straight into Max's eyes, trying to see if he wavers with his resolve
Vega expected Max's pupils to dilate with shock, or him to avoid eye contact and become nervous, however, without a slightest change Max said with conviction " Yes, I want to be king "
It was Vega's turn to be surprised as the patriarch of the Titus clan could hear the truth in Max's voice.
Max was convinced he would be king one day and he was ready to work hard to get there.
" Hahaha, look at a tier3 peasant like yourself talking about being king, what a ridiculous idea
I hope to be king as well, but unlike you I'm scared to declare it so openly.
Well, serves me right, I'm just a keeper of the throne for the rightful king anyways ". Vega said as he berated himself alongside Max's ambition.
" Alright then, King Max, I'll give you a chance.
Tell me your plan to become king and if it's good, I will support you in your endeavour.
Tonight's banquet, every clan leader worth being present will be present, convince me to show everyone that I'm backing you.
Your reward for the heroics of war, tell me what you want and I will get it for you, but keep in mind that if you fail to impress me with your plan, Tonight I will turn you into Regus for a substantial reward
The clan assessment is in 3 months and I can definitely use the extra points ". Vega said as he gave Max a golden opportunity to make his case.
If Max was successful in bringing Vega to his side, he could become his strongest backer within the vampire community after the Saint Maximus Clan, but if he failed today's banquet would turn into his deathbed.
