( Asiva's POV )
Asiva's belly had begun to show now and her usual threatening movement speed had slowed down significantly.
She had begun to actively avoid any shocks or accidents and was roaming around with the signature pregnant glow on her face.
Her destination today was the True Elites headquarters on planet radiance where she was supposed to meet with guildmaster Neatwit, and to her absolute delight she was treated like somewhat of a celebrity when she finally did arrive on the guild door-step.
She was given a royal escort of over 100 True Elite knight's and there was an audience of at least a few thousand who had gathered to have a glance of her.
Asiva felt like a model on a runway as she walked with suave, wondering if it would be enough to make the crowd approve.
There were hushed conversations everywhere and Asiva could not make out if the crowd truly approved of her or not, but those that she made eye-contact with seemed to smile back at her kindly so she took it as a good thing.
Eventually as she passed the long empty grounds of the guild and reached the main building, she saw a very pretty lady in a managerial dress waiting for her at the door-step.
" Please follow me, Miss Rajput, guildmaster Neatwit is expecting you " Amelia said with a kind smile as Asiva immediately blushed.
She wanted to clarify that she was not exactly Miss Rajput yet, but just the thought of it made her feel all giddy inside which is why she did not correct Amelia.
Amelia guided her into Neatwit's office where she saw a duck and a cute little golden nine tailed fox fighting in a passive-aggressive manner.
As Asiva entered, the intelligent nine tailed fox immediately stopped fighting as she began to slowly approach Asiva and sniff her, but as Asiva tried to pet it on the head the cute little thing immediately began to growl.
*Grrrrr*
Asiva retreated her hand and allowed the nine tailed fox to sniff her to her heart's content-
" The child inside you, it carries a familiar scent.
Did you get knocked up by my master? " The nine tailed fox suddenly spoke startling Asiva as she did not expect the beast to be capable of speech.
" Who is your master? " Asiva asked as she silently tried to remember if Max ever told him about having a nine tailed fox as a pet.
" My master is the greatest warrior to ever step foot in the universe. He's Shakuni The Undefeated, the guildmaster of this stupid guild and the god amongst gods " The nine tailed fox replied, a clear pride in her voice as she stared straight into Asiva's eyes.
" Oh no, I was knocked up by his little brother, Max " Asiva replied as the expression on the face of the small golden nine tailed beast immediately turned friendly as she heard this.
She leapt from the tabletop into Asiva's lap and burrowed herself between her belly and her legs as Asiva struggled to not laugh as the beast was unbelievably soft and ticklish.
" Call me furball, we can be friends " Furball said, as she snuck her head under Asiva's robe and began licking her belly.
Asiva wanted to protest the licking initially, but she paused when she began feeling a soothing sensation full of warmth.
Furball was basking her belly with abundant vitality and Asiva's instincts told her that it was great for herself and her baby as she let the process go on uninterrupted.
Unfortunately for her however, Neatwit entered her office right at this moment and saw Furball sticking her head inside her robes at a rather awkward angle.
" O-okay " Neatwit said as he coughed once prompting Furball to come back out as the little beast glared holes into Neatwit.
" Human, have you made any progress in finding my master? " Furball asked with an aura of superiority which left Asiva stunned.
Asiva had never seen a beast talk to a monarch level figure with such authority under its voice, especially not a small and cute and cuddly beast like Furball.
However the even more shocking part was that Neatwit did not seem offended or like he was tackling a child as he sighed and answered genuinely that it was proving difficult for them to find Rudra.
" I have decided then, I will stay with her until my master is found " Furball declared as Neatwit raised an eyebrow to this proposal.
" I'm not sure that's a good idea, your food preferences alone can burn a hole through any state finances.
While the Elites can support it, I'm not sure the Bloodfall clan can or should.
Honestly, the guildmaster spoiled you way too rotten.
It's impossible for others to take care of you- " Neatwit replied candidly to which Furball responded by slowly scratching his table.
*Screech*
" Quack Quack Quack "
Neatwit's duck tried to protect its master from the noise as the two again began their passive-aggressive brawl.
Neatwit sighed as he pinched his nose, apparently this had become a daily occurrence these days and Neatwit was trying his best to be patient.
" I am going with her and that's final, if you are worried about my food then remunerate the woman for taking care of me.
The shadow dragon that she has currently guarding her is too weak, with me around, her security would be assured at least " Furball said as she passed the final verdict on the matter and Neatwit reluctantly agreed before shooing her out of the room for the remainder of the meeting.
Asiva was surprised as to how Furball was able to detect Zippo's presence when even most tier6 god's failed to do so, but she kept her questions to herself and did not voice them.
" I'm sorry about that, the last few years have been unkind to her with Rudra's alleged death.
I can assure you she's very reliable in combat and maybe as powerful as I am" Neatwit said, as Asiva's eyes widened in disbelief.
Neatwit was a tier7 god! An existence approaching the absolute peak of the tier8 monarch and yet he claimed that a small, cute, soft, nine tailed fox was equally if not more powerful than him.
Just the thought of this weird phenomenon made Asiva smile as she felt insignificant.
She had often heard tales from Max about how great her brother really was, she had even seen the report on how he single handedly killed 3 monarchs including Lucifer without breaking a sweat.
She truly believed that she had a grasp on Shakuni's true power, an idea about his limits, but everytime she encountered some discreet part of his life, that limit seemed to shatter to bits.
Just his pet was a tier7 being rivalling Neatwit.
Then how powerful was Shakuni himself?
Asiva wanted to ponder at this question, but found herself incapable of doing so as Neatwit interrupted her thoughts for a more pressing matter at hand.
" I'm going to move forward with Max's trial tomorrow, whom do you think we should pick as the judge? " Neatwit asked as Asiva turned dead serious.
