The clerk held the shirt Jian Qing had picked, placing it on the counter. She was grinning from ear to ear as if she had just won the lottery.
If this sale goes through, it would be more than her salary for two months.
Handing all the chosen clothes to the clerk to package, Jian Qing turned to look at Quan Yifei. Seeing her constant gaze, she smiled softly.

“Apparently, to give a person a tie is to want to ‘tie down’ that person for a lifetime.”
Quan Yifei was momentarily taken aback; after catching onto Jian Qing’s implications, she burst out laughing.
“Then why don’t you buy one to ‘tie down’ my Third Brother?”
Jian Qing curved her lips into a shallow smile and responded teasingly, “I’m afraid that if I do ‘tie’ him down, your Third Brother’s tail might lift all the way up to the sky.”

An Yu looked at the pile of clothes and shopping bags on the counter and couldn’t help but recall Jian Qing living at Shijin Haoting. Her envy of Jian Qing deepened.
“Miss Jian, I really like that purple shirt. Could you give it to me? To make it up to you, I will tell the clerk to give you a discount on all the clothes you’ve bought here.” Chu Ruohan spoke, her eyes flashing with determination as she looked at the purple shirt.
Quan Yifei grew upset and stepping protectively in front of Jian Qing, spoke, “Miss Chu, Jian Qing chose this shirt first. Snatching something someone else loves does not seem to suit the Miss Chu I know.”
