Chapter 97
Astrid’s POV
My anxiety regarding this surprise was long gone and the only thing left was the buzz of the party. Kaeleen and I danced swaying to the music. The party was already over with people going to their homes. There were only a few invitees on the dance floor.
I noticed Yvonne giving me the thumbs up discreetly. I smiled at that. She held a sleeping Christian and she looked like she was already leaving. But Marcus followed closely.
Rebecca had roped us into a bet. And by us I mean Kaeleen, Alex, her, Serena and Shadow who had still not learnt his lesson. The bet was the duration before Yvonne and Marcus got together. She bet one month. Alex and Kaeleen bet it’ll be shorter than a month. I just followed Rebecca and bet one month’s Serena bet longer with Shadow. But from what I had seen at the party, the way she rolled her waist whenever she was walking past Marcus or the way she watched him quietly whenever he wasn’t looking, perhaps Alex and Kaeleen would win the bet after all because it was obvious those two were attracted to each other.
"Ready for one last present?" I asked Kaeleen with a whisper.
"From you?" He asked me.
"Yes," I led him by the hands towards the stairs. "Come with me."
"With pleasure."
I led Kaeleen past my room, going further towards his room. I had no idea if he noticed that we were going someplace else.
"Um, Astrid, are we going to my bedroom?" He asked me.
Yup, he noticed.
"Yeah." I said softly as the anxiety pooled around my stomach once more.
I opened the door and led him through it. He walked in and I waited anxiously as he took in the room.
I waited holding my breath for him to notice the huge drawing hung just over the bed. Rebecca had been the one to suggest putting it there because in her words, Kaeleen loved himself too much to not want to gaze at himself every day.
But that was the least of my worries. I was more worried about the fact that he wouldn’t like it even if I’ve been assured by numerous people that he would. I mean, it’s not like it was them I was gifting it to, and besides the people of this pack were too kind to me so who knows if they were lying.
’Kaeleen is kind to you too.’ Sheena pointed out but I ignored her.
I held my breath as I watched him. His gaze finally focused on the drawing of him. I never even thought that just letting my hands lead me would bring me to him. Perhaps this was the sign I needed after all.
A minute passed and there was nothing from him. Just the sharp intake of death inward when he had first seen the drawing. And how I was scared that it was a bad thing. Perhaps that wasn’t from him appreciating how much effort input into the drawing or how good it was?
"I know it’s not good enough but I just wanted to..."
My words were lost in my throat as Kaeleen’s mouth crashed against mine. The feel of him against me and his scent made me wrap my hands round his neck drawing him closer as he groaned into the kiss. His tongue seeked entrance into my mouth and I opened up for him, tongues clashing, lips moving, I kissed him like my life depended on it.
He released my mouth and traced kisses from my cheek to my ear where he sucked in an ear lobe. I gasped in surprise because the action made moisture gather just beneath my legs.
He let go of my earlobe then spoke. "I love it. Thank you."
"You are not just saying that for the sake of it right?" I asked him, breathing heavily.
"I wouldn’t. I told you before that I loved your drawing and I do. Hell I lo..."
I placed a finger over his lips, shutting him up. I had an inkling what he was going to say but I did not want to hear it now.
"If you like that then maybe you’d like something else I prepared?" I asked him with a coy smile.
"What is it? More presents?" He asked me.
"Yes but you’ll need to work to find it."
"Where is it?" He asked me.
"On me...or rather not on me but..."
He smirked. "Did you put on something for me?"
"Perhaps?" I asked him as a blush climbed my cheeks.
Kaeleen groaned. He picked me up with his arms wrapped around my legs which were crossed above his waist. I could feel the bulge in his pants and I moved against it, rubbing against him.
Kaeleen groaned. "If you continue like this I won’t be able to stop."
"Don’t stop. I don’t want you to and besides if you stop now, you wouldn’t get to see the surprise."
"Are you being a bad girl? We have guests downstairs, Astrid."
"I don’t care." I groaned as I rubbed myself on his bulge again.
My back was against the door as Kaeleen moved his mouth dropping kisses along my collarbone.
"I like this side of you." He said to me,
"Are you going to kiss me and stop stalling?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes ma’am."
He took control of my mouth once more and my hands moved to his hair, clutching on it like it was a lifesaver. He groaned into the kiss and I drew him closer. There was no space between us as our bodies collided with each other but I craved more. I wanted more from him.
I moaned into his mouth and he broke the kiss moving his hands to my breasts.
"Did I tell you how gorgeous you looked today?" He asked me.
"Yes."
"Then let me say it again before I rip this off you, you look fucking gorgeous."
