East of Luotian Gorge, amidst a vast expanse of snowy heavens and earth, a small black dot pierced the wind and snow in the distance, rapidly enlarging.
If you looked closer, a strange and fiercely black monster bird with a red beak was flapping wings that glittered with a metallic sheen, slicing through wind barriers like scythes, piercing the sky.
The monster bird resembled an owl, with black feathers all over its body, and a wingspan of seven to eight zhang huge. Strangely, it had a human face, with four sharp, long eyes and ears.
And on top of the monster bird stood a Demon Ape, its body as tall as five or six zhang, covered in gray fur, arms adorned with five-colored tiger patterns, skin a bluish-gray, muscles bulging like rocky mountains, wielding a stone club.
On the face of this Demon Ape, there was a glaring red line, cheeks painted white like a theatrical mask, with two sharp tusks protruding upwards from its mouth, resembling a man-eating Evil Ghost from hell, appearing extremely fierce and violent.
And this wasn’t all; as these two demons appeared, black dots emerged from the eastern snowstorm, densely packed. Strange black monster birds, and fierce Demon Apes roared through the wind and snow, flapping their wings, shooting westward, cutting through white airwaves, forming a triangular pattern across the sky.
The wind and snow roared, airwaves shocked the sky, and demonic energy surged endlessly.
Just as these demons were rampaging through the heavens and crossing the gorge below, a sharp whistle suddenly sounded.
A whistling arrow broke through the air, immediately followed by a dazzling flame shooting out from the white forest below, aiming straight at one of the black monster birds in the sky.
The red-yellow fierce eyes of the Demon Ape on the monster bird suddenly glanced downwards, its sharp tusks opening, letting out a roar from its throat, then smashed downward with the stone club in its hand, striking at the rushing flame light.
The stone club, like a small mountain, struck the flame, causing it to explode instantly, revealing an iron arrow forged of cold iron, which directly shattered the stone club.
The fierce eyes of the Demon Ape glanced at the forest below where the flame arrow came from, a trace of a cold smile crossed its face, along with brutality; then the mighty demon body suddenly leaped from the back of the big bird, seizing the stone club with its hairy hand, roaring straight towards the forest below to kill.
But at the next second,
The bow strings thundered!
One by one, sharp, astonishing airwaves sounded from all directions of the forest below. Then, streams of firelight transformed into arrows leaving the string, sliced through the air, densely packed like a rain of fire, rushing towards the monster birds and Demon Apes wreaking havoc in the sky.
The Demon Ape that jumped down first was instantly shot by streams of light and exploded into a ball of fire.
In an instant, the group of demons crossing the heavens roared with frenzy, emitting piercing hisses and screeching.
The black monster bird named "Yong" emitted a screech similar to its name, flapping its wings to stir up a blizzard, dispersing the densely packed rain of fire arrows, though some failed to evade and were hit with a swish, screeching amidst the rising flames, falling from the sky.
"It’s an ambush!" a furious roar sounded like a thunderclap on the ground.
With a whistle, a Demon General among the Demon Apes grew in the wind, revealing a massive Mountain Demon over thirty meters tall, its twin fists pounding, blasting away all the surrounding hundred-meter fire arrows, its red-yellow murky, fierce eyes sweeping the forest below, spotting figures in armor sneaking through the forest, instantly its fierce light surged, eyes flashing with anger and bloodlust.
As it spoke, the enormous demon body, as large as a small mountain, burst through the air, plummeting down like a comet.
Quickly, hundreds of these Demon Apes, called "Ju Fu", let out shrill cries like a baby’s wail in response to the sky full of fire arrows, arousing their ferocity, hair standing on end, eyes brimming with fierce light, leaping down from the black monster bird’s back, the stone clubs in their hands like long pillars, whistling through the air, fiercely thrown into the forest below.
These stone clubs were powerful and heavy, some collided with the shooting Fire Feathers and exploded, while others swished down like cannonballs, plunging into the snow-covered forest below.
A sharp whistle sounded once more.
Loud explosions echoed in the snowy forest, blasting up snow, rocks, and wood chips.
Close behind, again came a series of loud thuds, Demon Apes descended from the sky, landing in this gorge like stars scattered across the sky.
Their yellow murky demon eyes amid the explosive dust found their targets, their fierce lights fixed.
Scattered in the surrounding forests, figures in Black Armor either rolled in the snow to avoid the recent blows or retreated into the forest behind.
The Demon Apes let out bloodthirsty or excited roars; some crushed the ground underfoot, leaping like cannonballs in pursuit, others punched directly towards the nearby low mountains, lifting a mountain with both hands, hurling it forward fiercely.
Ju Fu, a branch of Soldier Xie’s clan, these demons were tough-skinned and thick-armed, brutally cruel, and infinitely strong.
In the forest, Armored Soldiers scattered everywhere were quickly retreating, sensing the savage aura chasing behind, yet their steps showed no panic, maneuvering toward a specific direction, stepping on trees and skimming the ground, shadows of trees passing swiftly beneath their feet.
