But now he doesn't feel forced anymore. He wants to go to the party. He is excited about going, so he began dressing up of his free will.
He was so excited that he laughed as he dressed up. Then he ran out of his room and towards the carriage without being told. In fact, he became the one hurrying others up.
He was a general nuisance and didn't stop until Augustus came out of the house. As soon as he saw his father, he calmed down and became meek.
Augustus came up to him and ruffled the blond hair on his head. He lifted up his two hands and said, "Carry me, daddy."
He even jumped up on his feet eagerly.
He was acting like a cute boy to his father. Augustus couldn't resist his cute face, so he bent down and lifted him into his embrace.
Augustus asked him, "How have you been, kiddo?"
"I hope you have not been troubling your mother."
He shook his head cutely. "I don't do that."
Augustus knew that he was lying. But he just laughed.
Lady Delia, who was watching by the side, rolled her eyes at the shameless father-and-son duo.
She thought to herself in disdain, "The two of them are shameless rascals."
She didn't say anything because Augustus only cares about Tyson's health and his exercise progress.
Even Augustus doesn't want to attend the party. He is only attending because one of the patriarchs in the family will be attending.
This patriarch is attending the grand party because one of the children of the family got admitted into a prestigious sect. This child is sure to reach the third Mortal coil in the future and might be able to reach the fourth mortal coil, so the child has to be appreciated by the family.
If a patriarch thinks this party is important enough to attend, then he can't miss it. But if the patriarch weren't attending the party, he wouldn't waste his time doing something like that. So there was no way Augustus would blame his son for not wanting to go.
The three of them got into the carriage and took off. Other carriages containing the servants and maids followed them.
In the carriage, Augustus noticed that Tyson was excited to go to the party. Tyson wasn't gloomy or grumbling about the party like he expected. So he was perplexed.
He asked Tyson, "Why are you so happy?"
Tyson smiled and replied, "Mother said that Arthur will be there."
Augustus chuckled after understanding why his son was excited. He said, "Your half-brother is quite the character. I heard that he had someone beat up today in his dojo."
Tyson's eyes lit up when he heard that. He said, "Really? Tell me all about it."
Augustus himself didn't know much about the event. He didn't learn it because he had been paying attention to Arthur. He learned about it because someone came to complain to the family about the matter, and it was reported to him.
He had disregarded the matter because he didn't care about it. So he didn't know much about it. However, he said what little he knew about it.
"That man was previously beaten by Arthur three years ago when Arthur was 11 years old. That man was 22 years old and had been at the seventh transformation for some time back then. The man reached the ninth transformation in those three years. Then he went to challenge Arthur again."
"But this time, Arthur didn't beat him. It was his students that beat him up. They beat him so much that his master came to us to complain about Augustus. His master said that his life and death were hanging in a balance and that he couldn't eat. The man had to be fed through a tube. That's how badly he was beaten."
Tyson was already laughing when he heard that Arthur's students were the ones who beat the man up. His laughter became louder when he heard that his master came to report.
The description of how badly the man was beaten only made him laugh harder. He laughed so hard that his stomach began to cramp up, and tears began leaking from his eyes.
Augustus said, "I heard that the man might be crippled now."
Tyson didn't pity the man. He only shook his head and said, "That's Arthur for you. Even when he doesn't make a move himself, there are others who will make a move for him."
Augustus was also amused. He wasn't amused that Arthur's student had beaten someone up. He was amused that the person's master had come to report him.
He found that silly because that wasn't how power worked in the world. In this part of the world, it is the members of their powerful family that bully people. They don't use their power on each other.
If someone from the family had raped someone in the city, reporting that member of the family wouldn't bring any justice. Instead, the person who reported the case might be punished.
It is something that has happened several times. That is what the jail in the family is for. It is mostly for locking up people that they don't want to make trouble for the Dyson family, such as the family of the person who was raped.
Augustus himself doesn't care for raping and wanton murder. But he prioritizes his family, even if they are bastards, over other people.
This situation is a good example of his feelings toward other people. He doesn't care about Arthur, but at least he knows Arthur's name. He doesn't know the name of the person Arthur's students almost killed because he didn't bother to know it.
Tyson said, "I've made up my mind. I want to have my own followers. I should have people that do everything I want."
Lady Delia groaned inwardly. She didn't say anything, but she was determined to stop Tyson from gaining followers at all costs because the person who he will cause the most trouble for is her.
