Meanwhile, the Patriarch had moved on. He signaled to Augustus and Vena to follow him.
They remained at the party, but they moved to a side room for privacy. After they entered the small room, an invisible bubble appeared around them that cut off the sounds from the party. The bubble made it appear as if they were in a silent world.
The patriarch led them to a window with a view of the sky. He turned his back to the two of them and looked at the sky for a long time.
The patriarch didn't say anything for a long time. It made the three of them feel uneasy.
When the patriarch finally spoke, he asked a question. He said, "Augustus, what did you just see?"
Augustus replied, "I saw a boy who is too strong for someone at the first mortal coil. He should be at least twice as strong as someone at the tenth transformation of the first mortal coil."
The patriarch was very angry, but he still chuckled. He said calmly, "I have seen many people at the tenth transformation of the first mortal coil. I have seen many people at the second mortal coil. But I have never seen anyone lift and pull that bow that far without the use of force. No human or beast, even at the tenth transformation of the second mortal coil, can do it."
"Of course, I might be wrong. After all, I have grown old. So let me ask you, Augustus, can you do what he just did without force?"
Augustus shook his head. "No, I can't, patriarch."
The patriarch chuckled ruefully and said, "No, you can't."
Then he said, "What about you, Vena?"
She replied, "I can't either, patriarch."
The patriarch asked them, "Have you seen anyone do that before?"
They answered together. "No, patriarch."
The patriarch nodded and said, "I'm glad that has been clarified. Now let me tell you what I saw."
"I saw a boy that should be at the 27th transformation of the body. That shouldn't be possible in the first mortal coil. Yet, I know what I saw."
"I am sure of what I saw because I have seen that kind of body in the body of a cultivator at the third mortal coil. I can bet my life on it because I saw that same body just earlier today. It belonged to an older patriarch."
"My point is that only a cultivator at the third mortal coil who has unlocked their body for body refinement should have that kind of body. Yet, I just saw it in a boy of the first mortal coil."

Lady Vena fell to her knees and began to beg, "Please forgive me, patriarch. I am so sorry."
The patriarch finally turned to them. The two of them were able to see that his face was cold and stern. It was different from the smiling face he showed earlier.
He was very angry. Still, he asked calmly, "Tell me, Vena, what have you done wrong?"
Lady Vena replied, "I knew that he was special, but I hid it from the family. Please spare me. Please spare him. Don't kill him."
She was crying as she begged. Tears streamed from her eyes. The sight made the patriarch's cold face soften.
He sighed and said to her, "I don't know which family you came from, but in the Dyson family, we don't do that. In our family, we try to take care of everyone regardless of their talent."
"We don't kill untalented members of our family and we appreciate talented members even more. Instead of killing talents, we help them with resources so that they can grow quickly in a safe environment. We try to ensure that they realize their full potential."
"I won't kill you and I won't punish you. But I am angry at you. I am angry at you for letting that boy's talent waste away."
"He reached the ninth transformation three years ago, or maybe not. Maybe he was just at the fifth transformation, and his bloodline doubled his power."
