She released the keys she had been clutching all this time, took out cash from her wallet, and paid the fare.
During the ride, she tightly gripped the keys in her hand, which were the ones Gu Annan had given her — the keys to his apartment.

“Miss Lu, about the house you used to live in, is there anything important? I can help you move it now, or would you prefer to check yourself?” Zhao Chen spoke frankly, but inside he was apprehensive.
He wasn’t sure if Miss Lu would agree to such a request since Mr. Gu’s orders were decisive and seemed to consider her wishes not at all.
“I’m just nearby; I’ve nearly finished packing.”
Surprised by her casual reply, Zhao Chen hesitated for a moment, “Miss Lu, please wait, I’ll be there shortly.”
No wonder the BOSS didn’t show any annoyance at Mr. Arthur dropping a mountain of work on him today; it seemed there was a reason.
Zhao Chen glanced at the team outside the office, complaining endlessly, and decided to do a good deed.
Just before leaving, he ran into the BOSS coming out of his office for a meeting.

A moment later, Zhao Chen heard Mr. Gu’s voice, tinged with pleasure, “You’re just complaining about the workload today, aren’t you? Now, get on with it.”
As expected, Zhao Chen later heard that Mr. Gu didn’t show any ill-temper throughout the meeting and was in an unusually good mood.
