“Follow me and you’ll find out.” Gu Annan didn’t say more, driving the car into a residential area before stopping in front of one of the buildings.
Lu Wanwan got out of the car and saw a man with a solemn face come out of the building. He looked like he could be one of Gu Annan’s subordinates, but she had never seen him before.
“Mr. Gu, the person is inside; the negotiation is almost wrapped up.”
Gu Annan nodded and headed straight inside.
Lu Wanwan felt a bit puzzled and also glanced at the man who simply nodded at her.
The ‘villa’ was spacious, but its decor exuded a particularly tacky vibe.
It was somewhat dark inside. She followed closely behind Gu Annan, not understanding why he had brought her to such a place.

Gu Annan’s face darkened at the man’s look towards Lu Wanwan.
He stepped forward, placing his hands leisurely on the table, meeting the man’s eyes coldly, “Now I’m here.”
“Hold on, when have you seen me?” Lu Wanwan found it all very strange, suddenly a middle-aged man was smiling at her, claiming it had been many years since he last saw her.
When had this man taken notice of her?
