Lu Wanwan hung up the phone and headed to the bathroom. "What’s the matter?"
Gu Annan, still in the bathtub, spoke lazily, "A bath towel."
"I remember there are some inside..."
"On the floor. You expect me to use the one on the floor?" He cracked open a sliver of his eyes and looked over at her.
Lu Wanwan turned to look, and indeed, several towels on the rack had all fallen to the floor.
Could that be a coincidence?
"How could they all have fallen down?"
Gu Annan’s gaze was profound, his tone enigmatic, "If they could ’accidentally’ all get wet yesterday, why couldn’t they ’accidentally’ fall down today?"
She really didn’t know how to deal with him, especially after what just happened; her emotions were completely drained.
"Wait." Her response lacked enthusiasm.
She would fetch them, but she was not in the mood to repeat yesterday’s incident today.
After Lu Wanwan picked up the towels, she walked in. "Where should I put them?"
"Give them to me." He said flatly, standing up from the bathtub.
The perfect, muscular contours of his body emerged from the cascading water, and she felt a dazzling blur before turning her head away.
"Hurry up." Holding the bath towel, she aimed to hand it to him, planning to leave as soon as he took it from her.
Suddenly, her hand was gripped tightly; his large palm grabbed the towel, along with her hand.
"Let go." She tried to retract her hand, but couldn’t shake him off.
"Are you angry?" Gu Annan finally released her hand and took the towel, casually wrapping it around his body, then caught the person who was about to leave. "Answer me."
Lu Wanwan took a deep breath, turned her face towards him, and looked at him earnestly, "If there are some questions you don’t want to answer, so be it. But if I’m in a bad mood, don’t bother me! Just because we are bound by law now, doesn’t mean I have to always accommodate you. I’ve said my piece. Now please let go, I’m going to sleep in the living room tonight."
The person holding her arm yanked her over, looked down at her intently, "The living room? When you were drunk and had the courage to come to my apartment, was it to sleep in the living room?"
Her face turned pale, and she glared at him furiously, "I don’t want to talk about that now!"
A sting went through Lu Wanwan’s heart; she tried hard to pull his hand away but couldn’t.
He grasped her hands and pinned her against the wall. "Stop it."
"You won’t even let me into the living room!" Her emotions, suppressed until now, turned utterly into irritation.
Gu Annan restrained her with both hands and kissed her.
Lu Wanwan struggled several times but failed. In his relentless depth and dominance, she finally gave up resisting.
The floor was wet from the water he had brought down. Except for the towel around his lower body, he was dripping wet.
Lu Wanwan found her own clothes getting damp, her toes curled, and her legs were so weak she almost slipped.
"So eager to lie down?" He slowly released her, looking at the woman blushing and flustered with desire in her angry eyes. "If you move again, the towel around me is going to fall off."
Lu Wanwan argued, "Gu Annan, I didn’t provoke you today."
"If you could seduce me yesterday, why can’t I seduce you today?" His dark pupils seemed to be tinged with a shadowy hue.
"Is this what you call always accommodating me?" He lifted her by the waist, carrying her straight out, "If we are to talk about fairness, then let’s have a proper talk."
Lu Wanwan glared at him defiantly, "I don’t want to talk to you."
He held her securely as they moved to the bedroom. "Soon we’ll know who took the photo."
