"Sister-in-law." Wen Qiao hurriedly obliged.
Ji Shaoyang touched his chin, looking surprised at the man next to him who still seemed unapproachably dignified.
What a change of character, not like him at all.
"Actually, I’m more used to calling you Wanwan," Ji Shaoyang laughed, "I always feel you’re still that same young girl."
Gu Annan casually picked up a glass of champagne and sneered slightly, "That young girl is already married. By the way, when are you getting married?"
The smile on Ji Shaoyang’s face froze: "..."
That’s a critical hit, isn’t it? So cheeky!
"Wanwan?" A somewhat rash voice called out. Lin Weiyang, as soon as he saw them, ignored the young people who were greeting him and walked straight over.
Dressed in a suit, Lin Weiyang with his baby face looked quite the part.
"Brother Shaoyang, you said they wouldn’t come. I was just looking for Wanwan."
The man who just took a critical hit said irritably, "How would I know what a married person is thinking? And you’re calling her wrong, is Wanwan what you should call her?"
Lin Weiyang, bewildered, got a small reminder from Wen Qiao at his side, "Mr. Gu said to call her ’sister-in-law’."
He paused, then smoothly corrected himself, "Sister-in-law, what was with that photo yesterday?"
Before Lu Wanwan could speak, Ji Shaoyang laughed and looked at Gu Annan, "Yeah, what’s with the photo?"
Ji Shaoyang had heard the gossip from his secretary and was also surprised when he saw the photo.
His first reaction was, that can’t be possible.
His second reaction was, is the guy next to her still alive?
"I don’t know." Lu Wanwan didn’t look into the matter, just treated it as someone trying to smear her.
Gu Annan simply stated, "I don’t either."
Many people in the room were looking over, and although they didn’t recognize Gu Annan, plenty recognized Ji Shaoyang, and quite a few knew Lin Weiyang.
Seeing the man and woman so familiar with Ji Shaoyang and others, one could guess their status was definitely not low.
After some casual conversation, more people came over to get to know Ji Shaoyang and Gu Annan.
Lu Wanwan, who had been held by him the whole time, felt bored and let go of his hand.
"What’s wrong?" Gu Annan looked at her as he finished with another guest, "Bored of it, and want to go back?"
"No," she asserted, seeing more people coming over, she said, "I’ll go to the restroom, maybe grab some food, take a look around. You go ahead with your work."
Gu Annan wasn’t really in the mood to deal with business matters at that moment. He just wanted to take her out to get some air and incidentally let some people know that this woman was taken—she was his woman.
But he wasn’t going to follow her even to the restroom.
"Come find me if you get tired." He tilted his head slightly and kissed her on the forehead.
Lu Wanwan smiled sweetly, "Okay."
"Mr. Gu, it’s rare to see you here. I went to Gu Corporation the other day, and you weren’t there..."
As she walked away, she heard the voice behind her and felt her timing was just right.
Mentioning the restroom was just an excuse; she casually browsed some of the art displayed around.
"Oh, you’re here too."
Lu Wanwan turned around to see Song Ning, dressed in a wine-red tight-fitting long dress.
"Dr. Song?" She didn’t expect to encounter this pleasant surprise here, just as she was wondering how she could find Bai Youchen.
Song Ning, not given to smiling, nodded, "My father was on the invitation list. He’s not in good health, so I came instead."
Lu Wanwan wasn’t surprised, she knew that although Song Ning was a doctor, she had once been engaged to Bai Youchen, so her family must certainly be no ordinary one.
