"Looks like you can’t leave." one of the men with a shaved head sneered, pointing to the blood on his arm, "You have to pay for this."
Lu Wanwan gripped Bai Youchen’s hand tighter, clearly feeling her own heartbeat.
"If I recall correctly, your orders were to capture me alive," Bai Youchen responded.
"SHIT!" the bald man gritted his teeth, "Either way, you’re not going anywhere today."
"With the number of times we’ve clashed, you know how many ways I have to die together with you," Bai Youchen said with a faint smile, "Getting me to cooperate is simple. Let this young lady leave. I’ll watch her get into the taxi."
"Who is she?" asked the bald man, who did not want to escalate the situation unless absolutely necessary.
A person nearby took a call, then spoke some unknown language to the bald man, glancing again at Lu Wanwan.
The bald man, who spoke Chinese, looked meaningfully at Lu Wanwan, his eyes filled with reluctance and more a sense of inevitability.
