Wen Qiao leaned against the car door, her hands clenched tightly.
Outside the car window, the flashing lightning made her face look even paler.

The man’s deep blue eyes watched her, his finger gently swiping on the screen to display a photo of her and Lu Wanwan coming out of the restaurant where they had last eaten.
It was evident that the person taking the photo was quite far away, but the photo was very clear.

"I really am not familiar with her; this was our second and, as of now, last meeting," Wen Qiao said with a frail voice, her dark eyes flickering with confusion, "Why are you asking about her?"
The man’s face revealed no emotions, his high-bridged nose above thin lips that seemed to curl slightly.
But that hint of a smile was so faint it was hard to see whether he was actually smiling.
"I need you to get to know her better."
Wen Qiao’s eyes widened in shock, "You, are you insane? She is the Gu Family’s Young Madam, don’t you realize the peril in Manchester? Brother, this could be very dangerous."
"Don’t you wish for me to die sooner?" the man closed his laptop, "Don’t worry, I have my plans. I’m just asking you to become more familiar, since you’re in Manchester, shouldn’t you make some Manchester friends?"
Wen Qiao did not respond, convinced he had gone mad.
Everyone saw how Young Gu doted on his wife.
To target his wife would definitely be more forbidden than provoking him personally.

She did not dare stay longer and immediately got out of the car.
Standing in the rain shivering, she watched as the elongated Rolls-Royce vanished into the rain curtain.
