"Strange?" Little Momo raised an eyebrow, and Mommy was just testing the waters.
"It’s the first time Mommy has asked us about Daddy, but... I still want Uncle Gu to be Daddy," Little Youyou followed her brother out of the room. "What if our Daddy isn’t that good? What if he doesn’t like us? I’m so worried."
"We’ll know about that later."
Right before closing the door, Little Youyou took one last look inside. "Is it really okay not to wake up Mommy?"
"We can have breakfast and come back to wake up Mommy."
But does Daddy need to eat breakfast twice?
Lu Wanwan opened her eyes groggily, looking at the empty room, and suddenly snapped to full alertness.
Why didn’t the alarm go off?
She frantically searched for her phone, only to find that the alarm had been turned off.

"Youyou, did you turn off Mommy’s alarm?"

When she checked her text messages, one read, "Mommy, we’ve gone to the beach to play, you just work peacefully!"

The island was not small, but two children might not draw attention; still, there was always that risk.
She immediately texted Little Momo back and found out everything was fine. Little Momo told her to rest easy, saying they had run into Uncle Jiu Li and were planning a day trip with him.
Lu Wanwan simply didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want to trouble Jiu Li with this, but since it had already happened, at least they could effectively stay away from Gu Annan.
Gu Annan had said he’d come over in the morning, but he hadn’t reached out by this time, which made her even more uneasy.
