Chapter 21: Chrysanthemum Garden (2)
"Yes, Master Long, it is indeed really beautiful"
'Somehow, I'm more disappointed than just seeing a bunch of naked young men greeting Long Shan...' Xiaojun sighed. He was not sure about his feeling either, but he was both relieved and disappointed at the same time.
But honestly, the chrysanthemum garden was lovely. Since Long Shan said that he took care of the garden personally, that showed how Long Shan had a very gentle touch. Despite his huge figure and enormous strength, Long Shan was careful enough to clip the flowers and arrange them beautifully.
Long Shan pulled Xiaojun to enter the garden and said, "I will show you the way."
Xiaojun quietly stepped to the white garden. Since the snow was yet to be melted, they were walking carefully in order not to slip. Xiaojun could feel the gentle warmth of Long Shan engulfed his hand. He wanted to ask Long Shan to release his hand, but it seemed that Long Shan enjoyed it very much and didn't intend to free his hand anytime soon.
'I guess it's alright' Xiaojun thought.
They walked through the intricate garden, and Long Shan pointed at the arranged pink chrysanthemums on the garden. The flowers were placed in pots sitting on the spiral steel case, so there were about four pots with pink chrysanthemums blooming closely to each other.
"I've just finished arranging these chrysanthemums two days ago. I intentionally let them grow closer together, so once they bloom, it looked like a natural flower bouquet," Long Shan said. He chuckled a bit, "Originally, I want to give this to Liling. But she is not into my hobby. In fact, she is never into any gentle hobby."
Long Shan sighed as he remembered what Liling did, "She is into fighting as she has been a fierce girl since she was a kid. I still remember there was a boy that liked her, but she challenged him on a duel. If he won, then Liling would gladly submit to him. But if he lost, then he would be her underling."
"And the result?" Xiaojun got curious suddenly.
Long Shan sighed, "She has another underling after that fight."
"Ahahahaha," Xiaojun couldn't help but laugh. He remembered what Liling did at that park before. If she could defeat four burly men without breaking a sweat, then what was a young and inexperienced man for her?
"Liling is already sixteen, she will turn seventeen soon, and all she did is running around, creating havoc, fighting in that underground fight club. She also barely study, thinking that her strength will clear everything. I know that she inherits my prowess, but I just hope she can be a bit more ladylike"
Xiaojun smiled at Long Shan, who looked worried. It was clearly shown in his face that he was concerned about the future of his daughter, Long Liling. It was normal for a father to be worried about his daughter's safety and future, especially since Liling was a beautiful girl.
Xiaojun also had expectations from his parents, especially his late father. His late father was a strict man who had expectations of Xiaojun becoming a great heir and master of the Feng family in the future. He was not exactly a tiger parent, but his pressuring expectation could be frustrating some times.
He didn't want Liling to grow up suppressed like him. Thus, he turned his body towards Long Shan. He tried to pat Long Shan's shoulder, but he was not tall enough compared to the towering Long Shan. Thus Xiaojun's hand landed on Long Shan's firm chest and patted his chest gently.
Long Shan was surprised. He stared down at Xiaojun, who had a gentle smile that melted his heart. Shan's heart started beating faster as Xiaojun patted his chest.
"Master Long, remember that Liling is your beloved daughter, no matter how. She might not fit your expectation, but she has never crossed the lines. Has she ever been involved in a gang fight? Drugs? No, right?" Xiaojun recalled how his father was strict enough to limit his friend circle because he was afraid that Xiaojun would be influenced by bad friends.
"I think it is best to just watch Liling grow. We should sit on the side and let her understand by herself. Just be sure to guard her whenever she is going to do something dangerous and illegal."
"If you are worried about her study, then you should tell her slowly. I know how important study is," Xiaojun nodded and joked, "Or do you want me to tell and teach her? Like a good mother? Ahahaha," Xiaojun laughed.
Long Shan's heart beat even faster, he asked out of whim, "Do you want to be her mother?"
Xiaojun giggled. It seemed that Long Shan also started joking around with him, "Well, I'm needy. I want a grand marriage for our wedding. I also want our own home separated from this Long Mansion, with Liling, of course. In exchange, I will teach Liling to focus on her study."
"I can fill all that" Long Shan said seriously. He circled Xiaojun's waist with his hand and pulled him closer.
"Ahahaha, Master Long is surely good at joki"
Xiaojun opened his eyes but was surprised when he saw how close Long Shan's face to his was. He could feel Long Shan's breath as he kissed the edge of Xiaojun's lips gently.
"I can fill that requirement, Moon rabbit."
