"Xiao-Ge?" Feng Xiaojun heard someone called him from behind. He looked back and saw the handsome, fresh young man, with his signature box smile smiling at him. He wore his usual suit instead of hanfu or something more festival-y. Signifying that he was just a guest here instead of a student's parents or guardian.
"Xiao-Ge! I can't believe we met here! Is this fate? Maybe we are fated to be together, Xiao-Ge! Haha!" Jinxing looking really happy that he could meet his Xiao-Ge. He took one step in to close their gap and asked, "What's Xiao-Ge doing here?"
Feng Xiaojun stared at Jinxing, and he tilted his head in confusion and asked the same question back at him, "Jinxing, why are you here? Didn't you say that you have a meeting in New York today?"
"Yeah, I was going to, but my client, Yang-Ge or Yang Menghuo, suddenly returned to China for some reason," Jinxing said. He sighed, seemingly full of woe, "That guy is a handful. Don't you know that he was so panicked when he found out that the woman he was in love with was still opening and ordering a new rental boyfriend in my Rent A Boyfriend app? He's afraid that she'll get snatched by other men while he went to New York for a business meeting."
"That's why he called me and ordered me to meet him in New York to discuss this further problem since he owns almost half of the stock of that application. I already scheduled my private jet to fly, but Yang-Ge suddenly cancelled our meeting right before I head to the airport."
Jinxing crossed his arms and rolled his eyes, "Seriously, you know what he wants me to do? He wants me to delete that app completely! Of course, I refuse no matter how much money he has! That application makes millions, MILLIONS!" Jinxing yelled out loud.
"Yang Menghuo, hm" Of course, Xiaojun knew who Menghuo was. That man was the richest, actually the one above Jinxing when it comes to net worth right now. But he rarely showed his face and rarely do anything significant except investing here and there to get more money.
Xiaojun stared at Jinxing and asked again, "You still haven't answered my question, though. Why are you here?"
"Ah, well, I got annoyed by him. We had a meeting in his office, and he talked so much this and that about his Ying Jie. I feel like I've listened to Ying Jie's autobiography in three hours audio, and I don't even know her," Jinxing said. "Seriously, that guy is seriously whipped to his Ying Jie."
"Well, Yang-Ge gave me around five million yuan as compensation because he pestered me for the whole day! But that's so little, right? What can I do with five million yuan? That's not even one million US dollar!" Jinxing said. "So I was feeling generous and went here to donate all that compensation money to our high school!"
"Hm five million yuan is a fair amount, I guess," Xiaojun nodded approvingly.
"I mean, I think I have been graced by god because of my good deed of donating!" Jinxing said. "If meeting you only cost me five million yuan, I can always drop fifty million yuan every day as long as I can meet you every day, Xiao-Ge!"
"YYou are overexaggerating!" I said as I lowered my gaze a bit. Because seeing Jinxing's box smile always made my heart went doki-doki for no apparent reason.
Jiang Jinxing giggled happily. He noticed the two colas on Xiao-Ge's hands and his white-blue hanfu. Jinxing chuckled in awe, "Whoa, Xiao-Ge looks so handsome with white-blue hanfu. I almost thought that an immortal cultivator comes down from the heavenly realm to grace me here!"
"YYou are always good with your glib, Xingan," Yunyu said as he called Jinxing with his small name.
"Hihi~ What are you doing here, Xiao-Ge?"
"I uh I'm a guardian for a student here," I said.
"A guardian? Is it like your niece, nephew or?" Jinxing asked.
Xiaojun wanted to say that Liling was his daughter because he felt more parental feeling towards Liling. But that'd create unnecessary misunderstanding, so Xiaojun just replied with, "Yeah, niece."
"Oh, nice! I want to meet her!" Jinxing said. "Where is she?"
Feng Xiaojun darted his eyes at Liling, who was currently chatting with her crush, Xu Fanghao. It seems there was someone else taking over his job for a while, so Xu Fanghao could rest. And he used that resting time to treat Liling a cola, and then they talked like two lovebirds.
It was obvious in their gestures that both of them were interested in each other.
Not wanting to be a party pooper for Liling and her crush, I turned my body to face Jinxing and said, "She's busy with her boyfriend. Do you want to have high school nostalgia? It's been years since the last time I returned to our high school."
Jinxing blinked few times. His mouth was gaping wide. He couldn't believe that his beloved, greatest, most handsome Senior Feng was actually inviting him on a date!
Jinxing nodded vigorously. His handsome face was beaming with happiness, "Yes! This must be a payback because of my generosity to donate money here. Xiao-Ge, say, if I donate a hundred million dollars, would the reward be even greater? A marriage, perhaps?" Jinxing winked mischievously.
Xiaojun blushed and handed one cola to Jinxing and said, "Just shut up and let's go."
Jinxing took the cola as if it was a precious gift and nodded happily, "Sure! Let's go on our nostalgia date, Xiao-Ge!"
