Mr. CEO's Ex-Wife: A Cunning Comeback Chapter 186

Roman threw several harsh curses toward Chantelle while gritting his teeth.

"Sir, about Ms. Chantelle... I heard she broke up with Mr. Wilson," Kingsley said softly as he helped Roman to clean himself.

"What?! When did that happen?" Roman shouted, shocked.

"It happened just now. Someone posted on Facebook saying Ms. Chantelle and Mr. Wilson broke up, and that she’s already seeing someone new. There are even photos..." Kingsley said as he wiped his hands clean.

He pulled out his phone and showed Roman the screenshots.

The moment Roman saw the photos, his mood changed abruptly.

"Haha! That ungrateful bitch! I knew her luck wouldn’t last. She got dumped by Daniel—serves her right!" Roman laughed loudly.

"Come on, let’s go find her!"

"Huh?" Kingsley blinked in confusion.

"The Wilsons are rich. Even if that bitch got dumped, I bet she got some breakup money. I’ve been humiliated because of her. I deserve compensation from that woman!" Roman said with a twisted grin.

Roman was excited as he continued plotting.

When Daniel returned to Chantelle’s life, she acted like she hit the jackpot. She looked down on everyone, even me. But now that Daniel had dumped her, she had no one to rely on.

Roman made up his mind. He brushed off the trash stuck to his clothes and headed to the Western Hill Villa, with Kingsley following behind.

When they arrived at Chantelle’s place, Roman stood outside and stared at the house.

The longer he looked at it, the more he felt excited.

"Sir, a house in this area must be worth a lot, right?" Kingsley asked.

"Of course it is. This place connects to three main roads, and it’s a big villa. It’s worth at least a billion. Not bad at all. If we can find a reliable buyer, we’ll have enough money to start our next plan," Roman said with a smirk.

"But Mr. Bently, this place belongs to Ms. Chantelle. Isn’t it wrong to do this?" Kingsley asked, shocked.

"Pah! I raised her! I’m her father. I’m struggling now, and she owes me. Besides, I wouldn’t be in this mess if she hadn’t fooled me! Find a quick buyer now!" Roman snapped, pointing at the dirt still stuck to his clothes.

Hearing that, Kingsley quickly shut his mouth. He followed Roman’s orders and made a call to a real estate agent.

Roman looked happy as he listened to the call. He walked confidently to the front door and pressed the doorbell.

Inside the villa, Chantelle was resting on the sofa, feeling drowsy.

Daniel had gone back to work after lunch, and she had brought Kane home with her.

She had eaten a bit too much and was ready for a good nap.

Just as she was about to doze off, the doorbell started ringing nonstop.

The sound was loud and annoying. Her head began to hurt.

Annoyed, she dragged herself up and opened the door, still half-asleep.

When she saw Roman standing there, her headache got worse.

"What are you doing here?" Chantelle asked with a frown.

She didn’t bother hiding her irritation. She was too tired to argue.

On top of that, Roman’s smell made her want to step back.

"What do you mean? I’m your father. Can’t I visit my daughter?" Roman retorted, giving her a sharp look. "Now move."

Seeing Chantelle looking sleepy and unkempt, Roman was sure of one thing—Daniel had dumped her, and she was falling apart.

Without giving her a chance to speak, Roman shoved Chantelle aside and walked inside.

Chantelle stood there in shock. A bad feeling crept into her chest. She knew his visit meant trouble.

Roman looked around the villa with greedy eyes.

He already calculated the value of the villa in his mind.

The location and design were impressive, but he knew the value would rise even more if the furniture and decorations were expensive.

"Chantelle dear, the Wilson family is rich, and their company is worth millions. I’m sure Daniel gave you a generous parting gift. Did he give you this villa too?" Roman asked, looking around again with a sharper eye.

He guessed the villa was worth at least fifteen billion.

The last time he came, he was in a rush and didn’t look around.

Now, he noticed the antique furniture and fine details—even on the ground floor.

He was sure the upper floors had more valuable items.

Roman’s heart was beating so fast as the overwhelming joy crept in.

If he could sell this place, the Bently family could turn their luck around.

"What?" Chantelle looked at him, confused. She was starting to wonder if he’d lost his mind.

"Don’t play dumb, woman. I already know you and Daniel broke up!" Roman grinned like he had just heard the best news of the year.

"So, what are you planning to do?" Chantelle asked, not even bothering to explain that she and Daniel were still together. She just wanted to know why he was here.

"What am I planning to do?" Roman said, putting on a fake smile. "I came to help you protect your assets! I’ve seen the gossip online about you and that pretty boy. It’s everywhere. Let me give you some advice—don’t let anyone take advantage of you. That guy is a big headache!"

Chantelle almost laughed.

Pretty boy?Joseph might fit that label if you focused only on his jawline.

"Here’s what I think," Roman continued. "Whatever money Daniel gave you, just keep it for your expenses. But it’s smarter to sell this house. It’s worth a lot."

"Roman Bently, are you seriously telling me you came here today just to sell my house?" Chantelle’s sleepiness vanished in an instant.

Her eyes widened in disbelief.

She couldn’t tell if this was how most fathers would act if their daughters had just been dumped by their husbands.

Would they also rush over without comforting her—but to take her things?

Roman hadn’t said a single kind word since he entered her home.

"Chantelle, don’t be so mean. I’m doing this for your own good. You always think I have bad intentions," Roman said, clearly annoyed that Chantelle had seen his true motives.

"If this is for my good, then I’ll stay right here. The location’s fine, and I’m not moving. If you have nothing else to say, you can leave now," Chantelle replied as her patience ran out.

How shameless can one man be? she thought.
