Mr. CEO's Ex-Wife: A Cunning Comeback Chapter 251

Rowan grabbed Camille’s wrist right away. If she really knelt, his grandpa would blame him. The Nelsen family would turn against Chantelle. Camille was their grandpa’s favorite. He always believed her. She’d twist the story and say Chantelle made her kneel. That would bring shame to both Camille and their family.

Rowan knew this wasn’t Chantelle’s fault. He didn’t want his grandpa to go after her. Chantelle had reminded him of someone from his past.

"Ms. Chantelle, as you can see, Camille already regrets what she did. Can we let this go? Let’s have a glass of wine and end things here," Rowan said as he poured wine into her glass.

Chantelle didn’t even glance at it. "Mr. Nelsen, was all of this just an act to trick me? Do you want me to speak well of you to the Walker family? I thought the Nelsens weren’t afraid of anything."

Camille got angry and wanted to argue, but Anthony stopped her right away.

If she drinks that wine, it’s over for her. Daniel won’t forgive her. I should control myself for now.

"Camille’s behavior is our fault. We spoiled her. She’s immature and full of herself. I hope you can forgive her." Rowan downed a full glass of wine to show he was sorry.

Chantelle didn’t respond. Rowan kept drinking until he had finished three glasses.

"The Nelsen family has always believed in doing good. I came to Easthan planning to five million dollars to the Charity Association. I hope you’ll accept it."

Maybe he really meant it.

"Mr. Nelsen, you should talk to the association’s director about that." Chantelle lifted her glass and took a small sip as Rowan kept watching her.

I’m willing to drop this now. But I’ll never speak up for them in front of the Walker family.

At least the Walkers and the Wilson Group Of Companies won’t become enemies with the Walker family.

Camille was thrilled when she saw Chantelle take a sip. She almost burst into laughter.

"Ms. Chantelle, I’ll drink with you too. Just like Ro said, let’s forget everything that happened between us." Camille emptied her glass.

Chantelle gave her a doubtful look but didn’t say anything. She finished her wine in one go.

Rowan couldn’t figure out what Camille was up to. First, she insulted Chantelle. Then she played the victim. And now, she was acting like she wanted to make peace. He looked at Camille, then at Anthony, feeling something wasn’t right.

"I’ll be leaving now. Goodbye." Chantelle frowned. She sensed something was wrong and quickly walked away.

"Ms. Chantelle, let me see you off," Rowan said, then gave Camille a cold stare.

"Ro, she’s Mrs. Wilson. It’s not proper for you to walk her out," Camille quickly reminded Rowan.

Hah! I’ve drugged her. She’ll end up in bed with the most filthy, disgusting man alive. No way I’m letting her sleep with my brother by mistake!

Rowan glared and shoved Camille aside. He tried to chase after Chantelle but couldn’t catch up with her.

Meanwhile, Daniel stood outside the next room, staring at Ruby with no emotion. She looked very different from before.

She was more dressed up and full of herself. This time, she wasn’t scared to face Daniel.

Ashton had told him she tricked Roman out of his money, then divorced him. She didn’t go back to her ex, James either. Instead, she ended up with Brian from the Stewart family.

"Mr. Wilson, surprised I’m not dead?" Ruby said. She ran her fingers through her hair with a playful smile. She was so full of herself. She believed Brian would fall for her just because she was young and pretty.

The scene was uncomfortable to watch.

"Mr. Wilson doesn’t have time for games. Just say what you know," Ashton said sharply. He was tired of looking at her and wanted it over.

"Well, Mr. Wilson, you’re so powerful. You could kill me if you wanted. So what? Aren’t you begging me now?" Ruby laughed and covered her mouth.

Daniel felt annoyed. He asked coldly, "Do you really think I’m going to beg you?"

"You want to know what happened six years ago? Then beg me!" she shouted in a trembling voice.

She remembered how she begged them for help, but they still pushed her off the mountain.

Her body had felt like it was breaking apart back then. That pain still remains in her chest, and she knew she would never forget it.

She was determined to make them pay. She wanted to destroy both Daniel and Ashton.

This was the only way she could justify all the pain she had gone through. With no other option, she told Mr. Joseph her biggest, darkest secret just to gain his favor and rise again.

And to repay that favor, she had no choice but to swear loyalty and give herself completely to him.

She told herself she would never live a lowly life again. With her beauty, she was meant to be the wife of a rich and powerful man.

"There are many ways to make someone talk," Daniel said, spinning the silver ring on his finger before walking away.

Ashton signaled the bodyguards. They quickly surrounded Ruby.

She panicked and screamed, "What are you planning to do to me? If you hurt me, I’ll never tell you who I gave the information to!"

"You really think Mr. Wilson can’t find out on his own? Ruby, he’s not here for your useless secret. He’s here to get justice for Mrs. Wilson."

Ashton told the bodyguards to tie her arms and legs to the chair.

"Chantelle is such a—" Before she could finish, someone shoved a rag into her mouth.

Daniel didn’t hear Ruby’s screams after leaving the private room.

He stretched his neck and looked around, ready to find his two kids—Princess Steph and Kane.

Did they eat well at the restaurant? He wondered.

While walking, Daniel noticed a small, familiar figure.

Why is my princess so upset? Why is she crying?

"What’s wrong?" he asked as he picked her up. She struggled in his arms, but when she saw it was him, she asked him to put her down.

Daniel didn’t put her down. He softened his voice and said, "Steph, I’m not a bad person. I know your mom. I also know Russell and Calvin. And I know there’s a mole behind your mom’s ear."

Stephanie looked at him, confused and worried. "What’s your relationship with my mom?" she asked.
