Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride Chapter 174

"Really?" Titus Zane paused her movements, her seductive eyes looking towards Nathan Moore, a slight smile playing at the corners of her lips.

"Hmm, soon," Nathan Moore said with his eyes closed, not noticing the meaningful look in Titus Zane’s eyes. Following that, he let out a startled "Ah..." as he realized Titus Zane’s hand, which had been resting on that spot, had suddenly gripped tightly.

The bad man, he actually lied to her, how could it still be hard if it was broken.

Standing up, she patted the nonexistent dust off her hands, Titus Zane looked half-smilingly at the certain man lying on the floor with a look of wretchedness.

"Where is the laundry room?"

Nathan Moore was in no mood to feel prideful, his hands covering that spot, he said unhappily, "It’s still the same one as before."

Titus Zane thought for a moment and then turned to leave the room.

In the grand hall on the first floor, Titus Zane deliberately lightened her footsteps as she approached the stairs.

Whether it was because the housekeeper hadn’t woken up yet, or Nathan Moore had given instructions in advance, there was not a single person in the hall.

Letting out a long sigh, Titus Zane walked at a normal pace toward the laundry room.

Opening the tumble dryer, she found the clothes inside already dried. She took them out, shook them open to look, and fortunately, there weren’t too many wrinkles. Wearing them out shouldn’t attract other people’s attention.

Drapping the clothes on her arm, Titus Zane returned to Nathan Moore’s room, entered the bathroom, and came out shortly after, dressed neatly.

Nathan Moore sat on the sofa, one long leg crossed over the other, the hem of his silky robe widely open, revealing his pale and slender legs, his hands casually placed in front.

Seeing Titus Zane come out, he didn’t speak, his dark eyes followed her figure, his handsome eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Approaching Nathan Moore, Titus Zane picked up the handbag lying on the sofa, curved her lips slightly, and said, "Thank you for taking care of me last night."

After speaking, she turned to leave, but then Nathan Moore’s voice sounded from behind her.

"Do you often get drunk ?" Afraid that Titus Zane might not understand, he added, "In the bar."

Titus Zane turned around, arching an eyebrow, "I never get drunk!"

So many times, she wished she could get drunk, then she might get a good night’s sleep, but so often, she found herself holding a goblet, staring out at the night sky through the window, until dawn...

Titus Zane turned around elegantly, leaving the room without a trace of reluctance.

"A vicious woman," Nathan Moore muttered under his breath at the empty doorway, his hands in front unconsciously rubbing the spot that was still sorely aching, craving comfort.

Back at the hotel, Titus Zane removed her clothes and called the hotel’s service to help take them to the laundry room.

It wasn’t that she was being capricious, but it was her slight OCD that made it impossible for her to wear clothes that hadn’t been ironed. Considering that her business in T city was done, it was time to leave.

Just having showered, her brown, wavy hair was still dripping with water droplets. She took the unfinished bottle of red wine from the shelf, walked to the small round table in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, sat down, poured herself a glass of red wine, and slowly sipped while aimlessly watching the endless stream of traffic outside the window.

Having another encounter with Nathan Moore was not what she wanted.

But since it had happened already, she didn’t want to dwell on it any longer. After all, she was about to leave, believing this should be the last time they interacted.

After taking a sip of wine, she placed the goblet on the small table and stood up to fetch her phone.

If there was a friend in T city she still cared about, it would be Logan Ray, who had settled back in the country.

Unlocking her phone, she scrolled to a series of numbers and dialed out. Titus Zane then pressed the phone close to her ear.

With her head slightly tilted, wearing a pale pink, embroidered robe, she resembled the stars she endorsed on screen—no need for any make-up, just standing there, her innately noble demeanor was captivating.
