Titus Zane managed a smile, then picked up his coffee again and took a sip, using it to hide his panic.
"Jon, it’s not as serious as you say, has reading foreign detective novels turned your head? Our country is very safe, not chaotic like yours."
Jon put his cutlery down again and picked up a napkin to wipe the corners of his lips; foreign men, not only handsome but even wiping their lips is done with elegance and poise.
Jon looked at her seriously and said, "carry, since you’ve asked Sister Hua for help, it shows you’ve started doubting your identity. If that’s the case, why not tell me the truth, so I can continue the investigation?"
Jon’s barrage of questions softened Titus Zane’s resolve, she had the traditional Chinese mindset running in her bones - unless something unexpected happens, people usually prefer letting things slide without digging further.
Westerners are different; they investigate any doubts thoroughly until everything is crystal clear.
Titus Zane was struggling within herself. The traditional part of her said not to continue, she was still her, with a father, a mother, and a sister. Although the relationships weren’t warm, she still had a complete family.
But the westernized part of her told her to keep looking no matter what her future identity might be, whose daughter she is, it needed to be thoroughly investigated.
"carry, this isn’t like you." Seeing Titus Zane still hesitating, Jon grabbed her coffee cup, brought it to his lips and took a sip.
Titus Zane was so deep in thought that she didn’t notice Jon’s intimate gesture.

If it confirms her as her parents’ daughter, then everything remains as before.
Thinking of this possibility, Titus Zane hesitated again.
"I didn’t expect someone whom Sister Hua is proud of to be so indecisive when it comes to action." Across the table, Jon shook his head in sigh, Titus Zane knew he was mocking her.
"How do you know I’m hesitating?" Titus Zane refused to admit it; the kindness Sister Hua showed her years ago, she would never forget. Wandering the streets inadvertently into an abandoned urban area one evening, two homeless men blocked her path when it was already dark. Just when she felt helpless, Sister Hua appeared just in time, driving her car to knock down those two men and took her back to her residence.
Sister Hua was her benefactor, and in turn, she was Sister Hua’s most capable assistant.
Since serving Hua’s organization, in just three years, she brought twice the profits than in the previous years!
"What you said, I had already thought of; all investigations will be paused temporarily, until I do the test with my parents and then decide!"
Being personally trained by Sister Hua, Titus Zane was no less imposing than anyone else.
Having spoken, under Jon’s eyes gleaming with a triumphant smile, she stretched out her hand to grab her coffee cup and brought it to her lips, tilting her head back!
"Hmm? Where’s my coffee?"
"Sorry, I drank it all." Jon reached out his hand, smiling cheerfully.
"How could you do that!" Titus Zane couldn’t help but roar. Foreigners are very particular about hygiene; beverages others have drunk or leftover food, no matter how costly, will be thrown away, not like what Chinese people say about "not wasting". Although they are accustomed to kissing.
However, Jon’s behavior was only typical between couples, which drove Titus Zane
