"Nathan Moore!" Titus Zane couldn’t stand it anymore, glaring at Nathan Moore, her fair face flushed with a red glow, and she spoke in an irritated and slightly raised tone.
"Fine," his indulgence expressed in a single word.
He was still holding the wine glass to his lips, swallowing saliva, and looking at Nathan Moore as if he had seen a ghost.
If he hadn’t lost his memory, he seemed to have never been so gentle with Olivia Zane before.
Nicholas Croft glanced over, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth touching his eyes, he reached out and pulled Evander Lancaster back, "Alright, stop looking, if you’re jealous, go find yourself a woman too."
He was initially maintaining a bachelor mindset, but now... he was even less interested in finding a woman after seeing his elder brother, a lion in the business world but a tame cat in front of a woman.
He didn’t want to emulate that!
Beatrice Hargrave rushed down from the stage, placing her thigh on the low table, twisted around, and sat next to Nicholas Croft, smiling, "Uncle Nicholas, did I do something good?"
Beatrice Hargrave tilted her small face up, like a child waiting for the teacher’s praise.
"Yes, you did something wonderful." Nicholas Croft lifted his hand, his calloused palm lightly stroking Beatrice Hargrave’s hair, his eyes and expression filled with tenderness.
"Hey, why, I’m not your cat, why are you petting my hair !" Beatrice Hargrave complained unhappily.
"If you agree, I’ll treat you like a cat."
Evander Lancaster, sitting nearby, shook his shoulders, showing disdain, and moved a bit further away from them. Had he known it would be this scenario, he wouldn’t have come!
Seeing them all sweetening up around him, he felt like he was going to suffocate from the sugariness!
"Not happening!" Beatrice Hargrave pushed Nicholas Croft’s hand away with disdain and then muttered, "I don’t want to be an animal. Being human is much better!"
Amused by Beatrice Hargrave’s naive words, he laughed out loud, his chest trembling with pleasure.
Meanwhile, Titus Zane, observing their interaction, asked confusedly, "What’s up with those two?"
"What?" Nathan Moore shifted his eyes, his gaze dropping onto Titus Zane’s face, the gentle light softening the lines of his handsome face.
"Why did Sophie change her name? And suddenly her father is wealthy?" Titus Zane wasn’t envious or jealous, just purely curious about why she had changed her name, and it seemed that she was no longer as close to Nicholas Croft as before.
Three years ago, those two were shamelessly thick-skinned, discussing bedroom topics in front of everyone, and as for hugs and kisses, it was child’s play. Whenever Sophie initiated, Nicholas Croft was always ready to reciprocate.
Now observing their interactions, they seemed like newly acquainted friends, not very familiar. Although Nicholas Croft looked at her tenderly, sometimes he would become distracted.
And Sophie towards Nicholas Croft, evidently, didn’t rely on him as much as three years ago, indeed treating him with the respect one would towards an uncle.
Nathan Moore raised an eyebrow, glanced at the man and woman across, and said nonchalantly, "Never mind them."
However, in his heart he prayed for Nicholas Croft; goodness, even his woman could see that Beatrice Hargrave was the missing Sophie Foster, but only he himself was still lost in the confusion.
Evander Lancaster felt increasingly bored; although he wasn’t jealous, having four people simultaneously exhibiting lovey-dovey behavior was really quite sickening.
He put down the wine glass on the low table, looked at the time on his watch, and frowned muttering, "My third brother said he would be here soon, and this ’soon’ has turned into over an hour; did he not buy the horse yet or has he not ridden the horse yet!"
