Evander Lancaster smacked his lips twice, no longer arguing with Beatrice Hargrave; arguing with the young lady over minor matters wasn’t worth his attention.
Five people stood in front of the KTV, facing the night breeze, waiting for Felix Shaw and his wife.
Beatrice Hargrave was draped in Nicholas Croft’s overcoat, who stood by her side, resembling a guard.
While Titus Zane was directly embraced by Nathan Moore, who opened his own overcoat and tightly clung to her from behind, both warming her and preventing her escape.
Watching the sparse traffic on the street, Evander Lancaster checked the time on his watch again, "Why haven’t they arrived yet?"
As soon as he finished speaking, a champagne-colored luxury car stopped at the roadside in front of the KTV.
Felix Shaw got out of the car first, walked around the front of the car to the passenger side; Mia Foster had already pushed the car door open and stepped out, trying to return the way she came, but Felix quickly caught up and grabbed her wrist, pulling firmly, making Mia Foster stumble into his chest.
A pair of fists rained down on Felix Shaw’s body, accompanied by cursing.
"Let me go, you bastard!"
Yet Felix paid no mind, holding her wrist with one hand and walking towards the entrance of the KTV.
Mia Foster had no choice but to follow him reluctantly.
"Yo, big bro, what’s the matter? Service not up to par? Did you make your lady angry?" Evander jocularly greeted him, hands in his casual pants pockets, teasing whoever he caught.
Felix glanced back at the clearly unwilling woman, his feelings betrayed by an amused look in his eyes, but before he could say anything, Mia Foster took a step forward and shouted impatiently.
"Who’s your sister-in-law? Watch your language!"
"Yo, clearly she’s sexually frustrated," Evander continued to jest, as Felix turned his handsome face to Mia, his eyes twinkling with mirth, "Didn’t I satisfy you just now?"
"Hmph!" Mia turned her face away, disdainfully scoffing, not hiding her sarcasm. "With those skills, even 200 yuan is too much!"
"What? Big bro, you provide paid services?" Evander looked incredulously surprised, his eyes widening.
Without any niceties, Mia snapped back, "Of course! Don’t you pay when you hire a prostitute?"
After being stunned, he finally reacted, "Sis-in-law, are you mistaking big bro for a gigolo?"
"Hmph!" Mia sneered again, "Calling him a gigolo is giving him too much credit!" Her disdainful attitude and tone infuriated Felix so much that his face turned red.
Behind Evander, two men and two women stood still, none interfering, seemingly enjoying the drama.
"You damn woman, dare to disdain me again and see what happens!" Felix’s voice was gritting with teeth.
Constrained by Felix restraining her wrists, Mia turned around, her raised chin spoke of her scorn.
"So what if I disdain you? Your skills are mediocre and yet you dare pose as a gigolo, you should take a good look at yourself in the mirror!"
His face turned livid, teeth gritting as he glared at Mia.
It wasn’t the first time that night she had criticized his skills.
He could tolerate it when she threw a stack of money at him after the fact, but now she was asserting in front of his friends that his skills were poor.
His masculine pride crushed, Felix’s peach-blossom eyes narrowed dangerously.
His handsome face showing bite marks, he didn’t care that his friends were ahead, his slightly curved lips carried a hint of malice.
"My skills are poor?" Felix asked through gritted teeth, followed by a cold sneer escaping his nostrils; he leaned in close to Mia, almost touching, while Mia, unbowed, raised her chin even higher, only to hear Felix say.
"Then why were you trembling non-stop beneath me?"
