Evander Lancaster continued chatting with Felix Shaw, noticing that all the chips had already been put back into the drawer, the light in his phoenixlike eyes dimmed.
Once Felix Shaw closed the drawer, as if worried it wasn’t shut tight, he gave it another shove, and shamelessly claimed, "What do you mean by withhold? It sounds so unpleasant. She’s my wife, taking good care of these important items is my responsibility as a husband."
"Oh! Third brother, you didn’t say that two years ago." Felix Shaw is good in many ways, values brotherhood, but lacks finesse in gambling; if he loses money, he gets flustered, and if he wins, he hurries to lavish his woman with gifts and dinners, overly generous.
