"I’m sorry..." Titus Zane’s lips, devoid of color, trembled as he spoke, his voice quivering.

"Why apologize, even though I can’t consummate the marriage with Nathan, there’s always my sister," Olivia Zane smiled at the corners of her lips, her magnanimity once again made Titus Zane deeply ashamed.

"Weren’t you out playing cards? Why did you come back so early?" Olivia Zane reached out to take Nathan Moore’s overcoat, placing it on her legs covered with a blanket, and wheeled her chair following Nathan Moore toward the coat rack.
"Bored, so I came back," Nathan Moore adjusted his tie, his lips parting with an unusual lack of tenderness.
Spring, having come out at some point, took the overcoat from Olivia Zane’s hands and hung it on the rack, followed by the suit.
Olivia Zane gripped the wheel of her chair tightly, her heart filled with an indistinct sentiment.
Ever since Titus Zane had the abortion, Nathan Moore seemed not as gentle and patient with her as before.
Without leaving a trace, she glanced at Titus Zane still seated on the sofa. Though still in the same spot, her clenched fingers and subtly changed expression starkly revealed her fear.
