Sitting at the mahjong table, Sophia Hamilton clutched the documents, truly not understanding what the CEO wanted her to do by sending them over.
In the biting cold, she had rushed to deliver the documents, but the CEO didn’t even look at them, just told her to sit at the mahjong table and wait.
Seeing that a woman accompanied each gentleman, Sophia Hamilton felt even more uneasy.

With the documents on her knees, Sophia Hamilton was worried; she thought she would leave immediately after delivering them, so her QQ car was parked in a temporary spot. Now, after so much time had passed, she feared the number of tickets the police might have issued, or it might even have been towed away.
After a couple more rounds of play, Sophie Foster covered her mouth with a yawn, "Uncle Nicholas, I’m tired, let’s go home."
"Okay, we’ll go home after this round," Nicholas Croft said as he wrapped his arm around Sophie Foster’s waist, and she conveniently rested her head on his shoulder.
"Wife, let’s not go home tonight, let’s go upstairs and book a room. It’s been a long time since we spent time just the two of us," Felix Shaw suggested, and Mia Foster looked at him, humming faintly in response.
Ever since the incident with Elizabeth White, Mia Foster had been cold towards Felix Shaw; she hadn’t filed for divorce, but she wouldn’t let him get close either.
Although Titus Zane’s insomnia had improved since living with Nathan Moore, she was still worried that changing beds wouldn’t allow her to sleep soundly. She grabbed Nathan Moore’s arm, "Nathan, let’s go back."
"Okay," Nathan Moore responded with a single word, as he picked a tile and turned his head to kiss Titus Zane on the forehead.
The few couples at the mahjong table were seasoned players, indifferent to interactions between spouses.
Sophia Hamilton was sitting directly opposite them and upon witnessing her own CEO being so carefree and affectionate with his wife, as a member of the seasoned singles club and a woman of delicate sensibilities, she couldn’t help but purse her lips and shift her gaze to the side.
A sudden constriction around her waist; it was Evander Lancaster’s long arm encircling her, an abrupt move that startled Sophia Hamilton. Just as she was about to explode, she saw Evander Lancaster casually draw a tile and asked, "Spicy Pepper, are you going to stay upstairs or go home?"
Sophia Hamilton removed Evander Lancaster’s long arm with a swift motion, clearly shifting her body to the side, "Of course I’m going home."
"Hmm, we’ll go together." Evander Lancaster wasn’t upset by Sophia Hamilton’s evasion and nonchalantly played out his drawn tile.
Mia Foster pushed her tiles forward, "Big Three Dragons with Pairs!"
"Wife, you’re amazing!" Felix Shaw took the opportunity to hold Mia Foster’s face and kissed her, his eyes curving up with a smile.
"Damn bad luck!" Evander Lancaster pulled open a drawer, took out some chips and tossed them over, "I’m done, end of game."

Felix Shaw greedily gathered the chips, put them back in the drawer without courtesy, and mocked back, while Evander Lancaster, reaching for his pack of cigarettes and about to pull one out, glanced at Sophie Foster beside him, retracted the cigarette pack, and retorted without conceding defeat.
"Brother, I have to say, the missus always winning money isn’t necessarily a good thing," Felix Shaw glared at him unhappily, "It’s none of your business." Evander Lancaster reclined back, extended his arms as if casually and rested one on the back of Sophia Hamilton’s chair, one leg draped over his knee, smiling yet not smiling, he said, "Ever heard the saying, lucky at gambling, unlucky in love..."
