Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride Chapter 582

Nathan Moore suddenly shifted his gaze, stopped defending himself, and let go of the hand he had been tightly holding Titus Zane’s. His fingers, knobby and distinct, slowly slipped into his suit pocket in a measured manner, his dark eyes fixed on Samuel Zane the entire time.

He took a small booklet out, placed it on the coffee table, and pushed it towards Samuel Zane.

"Grandfather, this can prove that Titus Zane is my wife."

Looking at the small booklet laid out in front of him, Samuel Zane’s brow furrowed almost imperceptibly, and even Alder Locke, who had been scornful all along, was taken aback.

Anyone with eyes could recognize that it was a marriage certificate. The source of this content ɪs 𝖓𝖔𝖛𝖊𝖑~𝖋𝖎𝖗𝖾~𝖓𝖊𝖙

The details were written clearly on it.

Yet Samuel Zane did not pick it up to examine it, showing not even the slightest desire to look at it.

He withdrew his gaze, scoffed at Nathan Moore, "I didn’t expect you to have some tricks up your sleeve. In just a few short days, you’ve managed to procure a certificate."

Having said that, not giving Nathan Moore a chance to retort, Samuel Zane’s expression suddenly turned stern as he coldly said, "However, I won’t acknowledge it. As for a man who is adept at manipulating, you are simply not worthy of my grandson!"

Compared to Samuel Zane’s anger, Nathan Moore seemed composed. Just as Abigail Zimmerman was bringing the tea tray over and placed it on the coffee table, Nathan Moore nodded subtly to her, picked up the small booklet, and then stood up and walked towards Samuel Zane.

"Grandfather, you may want to look at the date on it before jumping to conclusions. Titus and I got our certificate three years ago," Nathan Moore laid out the marriage certificate in front of Samuel Zane, and Alder Locke, who sat on the other side, also craned his neck to look.

Below the seal on the photo, the date was clearly written as three years ago.

Samuel Zane was dumbstruck; the last time Nathan Moore claimed they were a legal couple, he thought it was nonsense meant to deceive him. Now, looking at the photo of the two on the small booklet, Samuel Zane found himself at a loss for words.

"So, Titus and I have always been a lawful couple, and Olivia Zane, from the perspective of the law, is just a relative who lives in the house. Although the rumors outside are rather unsavory, life is meant to be lived for oneself; as long as Titus and I understand each other in our hearts, we do not care what others say," Nathan Moore declared.

It wasn’t that Nathan Moore was heartless; in fact, if one were to rationally analyze the period they lived together, as he said, Olivia Zane was at most a relative living in the house for convenience sake.

Although his favor had always tilted towards her at that time, his body was more honest than his heart.

Every time, he would find the same excuses to press Titus Zane beneath him and take endlessly...

At that time he always thought he was retaliating, but upon careful reflection, if it really was for vengeance, there were many ways he could have made that person suffer intensely instead of frequently finding excuses to bed her.

Before Samuel Zane could say anything, Alder Locke spoke first.

A smirk played on his lips, hiding none of his mockery, "Relatives? It seems that’s not what people in T City believe! I heard a lot of rumors suggesting that the CEO of M.O has a particular fetish, confining his own aunt by marriage at his side, and even drove her to seek an end to her life."

The so-called knowledge of one’s friends and foes ensures victory in every battle. When he decided to pursue Titus Zane, Alder Locke had thoroughly investigated her past.

The wound he most wished to hide was mercilessly exposed, and Nathan Moore’s expression changed abruptly as he stood straight up to turn towards Alder Locke, his tone notably colder.

"Mr. Locke, I’d kindly ask you not to make rash judgments about my family affairs. Between husband and wife, there are bound to be some minor frictions, no couple lives peacefully until old age..."

"Oh, these ’minor frictions’ of yours almost cost someone their life."
