Abigail Zimmerman had not been out of the room for long when the door was knocked on again, symbolically tapped twice, then pushed open without waiting for Titus Zane to respond.
Alder Locke was holding a tray in one hand. After entering, he casually hit the wall switch for the chandelier, and sat on the bed. Titus Zane watched him in silence, not saying a word.
Alder Locke approached the bed with the tray and placed a bowl of wontons on the cabinet in front of the bed, saying with a smile, "Eat while it’s hot. Auntie Wang just cooked them."
Titus Zane kept watching quietly, his gaze following Alder Locke’s movements.
"Eat up, what are you looking at me for?" Seeing Titus Zane just staring without reacting, Alder Locke laughed as he urged, "Even if you’re unhappy, you still need to eat. Otherwise, how will you have the energy to throw tantrums at Grandpa Zane?"
"Alder Locke, are you in cahoots with them?" Still not moving and with her legs crossed, Titus Zane looked up at the man standing in front of the bed. Her eyes were slightly swollen from crying, then getting knocked out.
After a moment of eye contact, Alder Locke turned around and sat on the bed, his hands slipped into his pockets in resignation, "I remember I’ve already said, I was forced too."
"But in the afternoon, you and Grandpa were as thick as thieves!"
"Woman, do you only have boobs and no brains? Wasn’t what I said earlier also to test if that guy is sincere about you?"
"Really?" Ignoring the indecent remark from Alder Locke, Titus Zane focused on the main point.

Faced with Alder Locke’s frivolous demeanor, Titus Zane took the wontons and started eating with her head lowered.

After cleaning out the bowl of wontons, Titus Zane passed the empty bowl to Alder Locke, "You can go now, I need to rest."
Alder Locke suddenly sprang up from the bed, his face a mix of amusement and disbelief.
Titus Zane placed the empty bowl on the cabinet in front of the bed, tugged the blanket over her legs, and lifted her eyes as she matter-of-factly said, "No one is treating you like a maid; you’re offering yourself willingly."
Feeling as if he’d shot himself in the foot, he resignedly placed the empty bowl back on the tray, nodding continuously, "You’re right, it’s my own doing. I just love being a servant to others, and I’m the type that isn’t comfortable without being scolded."
Watching Alder Locke leave with the tray, Titus Zane couldn’t help but sneer coldly.
"Villain! You think I don’t know your true colors—keep pretending!"
At Capital City International Airport, Caspian Warner pulled a suitcase along, following the crowd out of the corridor. His tall stature and the aura that distinguished him from ordinary people made him hard to ignore among the crowd.
After leaving the airport, he looked around, not in a rush to grab a cab to the hotel. Instead, he took out his phone and immediately called Sister Hua, "I’ve arrived in Capital City. I’ll go to her place once I’m settled."
