Bullets whistled overhead, and before Titus Zane fell to the ground while holding Nathan Moore, another scream broke out.
The man was a hitman hired by Sister Hua, with a clear target: to end Titus Zane’s life.
In such a public setting, the man didn’t bother hiding his actions; missing with one shot, he fired again at Titus Zane who had fallen to the ground. Nathan Moore rolled over with Titus Zane, avoiding the bullet, but he was shot in the shoulder again.

Using a long table for cover, Felix Shaw and Evander Lancaster hid behind it, hesitant to act rashly against an armed villain, they were anxious.
Sophia Hamilton was also hiding underneath a table, in a concealed spot where the bad guys wouldn’t find her.

Nathan Moore, injured, was lying in the center of the banquet hall; this position exposed both himself and Titus Zane to the hitman. Alder Locke got up from the ground and, before he could do anything, was hit by a bullet from the assassin.
"Hide..." Enduring the pain, Nathan Moore pushed Titus Zane away, but Titus refused to leave him behind, "No..."
"Go there!" With all his strength, Nathan Moore pushed Titus further away, yet she crawled back to him once again.
Perhaps because Finnian Xenos kept trying to flank the hitman from the other side, distracting him, the assassin fired two bullets towards Finnian before turning his attention back to Titus.
Seeing the danger closing in, Nathan Moore summoned untold strength and fiercely threw himself onto Titus Zane, tightly shielding her beneath him.
