Felix Shaw’s eyes tightened, and his handsome face also turned cold.
The only reason he agreed to a blind date was to find a shield, but now this tactless woman had spilled everything about him and Elizabeth White in front of Mia Foster.
Although he had only met Mia Foster twice, Felix could tell that she was capable and assertive. Attempting to deal with Elizabeth would be no match for these superficial women.
Just as he was about to scold this tactless woman, Mia Foster had already started speaking.
Looking at the pitiable woman opposite her, she spoke nonchalantly yet with arrogance, "Miss, you seem to be meddling too much. Who Felix gets involved with should be my concern as his current girlfriend, not yours."
The woman seemed to notice Mia’s presence for the first time, turning her gaze towards her with eyes full of hostility, "Who are you? You have no right to interfere in Felix’s and my affairs!"
Unperturbed by the woman’s rude retort, Mia glanced at Felix then mockingly smiled at the hostile woman, "I think it’s pretty obvious."
Seeing that Mia was on his side, Felix firmly placed his hand on her arm and pulled her closer, looking at the woman and speaking coldly, "She is my official girlfriend," his words resounding firmly.
"Felix..." The woman’s voice strained again, lips pursed, her teary eyes fixed on Felix, looking like she was about to burst into tears, reaching out her hand as if hesitating.
Mia couldn’t stand such women, weak in front of others but scheming behind, acting as if the whole world had wronged them, almost drowning you with their tears.
Without courtesy, she retorted, "Miss, if you feel lonely and lacking love, I suggest you visit a nightclub. Men are plentiful there, and if you’re short on cash, I’ll pay for you!"
"You!" The woman’s facade broke, no longer looking wronged or weak but glaring at Mia furiously, while Felix couldn’t help but laugh aloud.
He hadn’t expected Mia to be so sharp-tongued. Since she could handle it so coolly, what was there for him to worry about? He brushed past the woman, taking Mia towards the parking lot, "Let’s go, I’ll take you home."
The woman was left standing there, turning around as her fingernails dug into her palms.
Felix hadn’t anticipated that Mia’s combativeness and emotional strength were so formidable; she had handled such a troublesome woman with just a few words. Curiously, he glanced at the composed Mia, "Aren’t you angry?"
Mia turned to look at him, her smile ambiguous, "Why should I be angry? She herself admitted you don’t want her anymore. Why should I, the current girlfriend, bother myself with a woman who can’t even qualify as an ex? How idle would I have to be?"
Although Mia seemed generous, Felix was still somewhat worried, especially since the woman had mentioned Elizabeth’s name earlier, so he tentatively asked, "So... what she said..."
Seeming to anticipate what Felix wanted to say, Mia stopped, turned around to face him; the smile vanished, replaced by a serious expression.
Mia said, "Felix Shaw, I know you’ve had many women before, and I know you’re fickle, but I fell for you at first sight, and there’s nothing I can do about that. So, I’ve promised my parents, I’m giving myself one year. If I can’t make you fall for me within this year, then even if you are a blue-chip stock, I will cut my losses after a year!"
