"Silly woman!" With a teasing laugh, Felix Shaw’s large hand reached in once again, skillfully buttoning Mia Foster’s clothes as she stiffened up, then gave her a gentle pat. "Let’s go."
Mia Foster was initially very embarrassed, but when she saw Felix Shaw standing up, she suddenly couldn’t control herself and covered her mouth, bursting into laughter.
Felix glanced at a certain area, unfazed, "What’s so funny? It just shows I’m healthy!"
With that, he spread his arm around Mia Foster’s shoulders and left together.
Feeling sweet inside, worried that others might notice Felix’s embarrassment, Mia intentionally walked ahead of him to try and shield him somehow. After leaving the cinema, Felix headed straight to the bathroom.
Standing in a corner of the cinema, holding her bag in front of her, watching him casually head to the bathroom, Mia Foster let out a light breath, biting her lip, quietly laughing to herself.
Standing in front of the sink, Felix took a deep breath, looking at his own gloomy eyes in the mirror. It seemed he hadn’t been active for too long, just teasing a woman.
Turning on the cold water, he stretched his hands underneath, the icy touch spreading from his fingers to his nerves, and that eager part gradually calmed down.
Drying his hands, Felix walked out of the bathroom, pulled a pack of cigarettes from his coat pocket, leaned in the corridor, and lit one for himself, his peach blossom eyes slightly squinting, his gaze appeared distant, exhaling smoke slowly, lost in thought.
When Felix didn’t smile, the lines of his handsome face appeared quite rigid, especially when he was unhappy, those usual flirtatious eyes were also chillingly cool.
After a few puffs, he suddenly pulled out his phone, found Elizabeth White’s number, and dialed it.
The moment the call connected, Sister Lisa’s voice came through the receiver, "...Director Shaw, Elizabeth is in the middle of filming and can’t take the call right now. I’ll let her know to call you back later..."
Felix took another puff of his cigarette, waited for Sister Lisa to finish speaking, exhaled and said, "No need, just tell her that once things calm down, I’ll come visit the set."
Mia Foster stood in the cinema for a long time, Felix still nowhere to be seen, glancing at her watch, she decided to go in the direction he left. Turning a corridor, she saw from afar Felix leaning against the wall smoking. Seeing her approach, he tossed the cigarette into the designated bin and strode over with his long legs.
"Did you wait long?" Felix regained his playful smile with a few words, and his peach blossom eyes naturally sparkled when he laughed.
"No, just came to check."
After the earlier scene, Mia was noticeably awkward, hands gripping her bag in front, standing still, her gaze instinctively glanced at a certain area on Felix.
Taking in Mia’s bashful reaction, Felix wrapped his arm around her shoulder once more, "Let’s go, it’s getting late."
In the past, Felix always had to guard against his father, Oliver Shaw... now, he just needed to console this silly woman and keep her from getting suspicious.
Personally driving Mia home, not to a suburban villa, but to the most luxurious complex in T City.
Worried that Mia might bring up canceling the engagement again due to feeling neglected, before getting out of the car Felix said, "I’ll be quite busy these coming days, might not have time for a date."
"I know." With Entertainment Village under construction, Felix is the main person in charge of the project and must follow up frequently.
"You’re not gonna run to my dad to cancel the engagement again, are you?" Felix asked with a laugh, joking half-seriously.
