Leaving the mall, Mia Foster got into her car. She was originally just bored and wanted to go out to clear her mind, but unexpectedly, she stumbled upon her future father-in-law’s mistress.
With a sigh, Mia finally realized who Felix Shaw had inherited his philandering nature from!
Driving towards the company, she hadn’t gone far before she changed direction.
Suddenly, she felt quite sorry for Felix, such a handsome and outstanding man. If he knew that not only did his father have a mistress outside, but also a daughter now, who knows how shocked he would be.
She drove to the underground parking lot of Hutton Industries and directly took the elevator to Felix Shaw’s office floor.
It was still lunch break. In the hallway, the secretary was playing with her cellphone, resting on her desk. Upon seeing Mia coming out of the elevator, she quickly put away her phone, stood up straight, and said politely, "Miss Foster, you’re here?"
"Mmm, where’s Felix?" Mia smiled and said, "Director Foley is in his office; let me take you there."
"You’re busy, I’ll just go by myself." Mia nodded slightly and walked towards Felix’s office. Standing at the door, she knocked gently and then pushed the door open without waiting for a response.
"Felix!" Mia intentionally raised her voice, trying to sound as cheerful as possible.
In his office, Felix Shaw was sitting on the sofa, eating lunch with a box of rice in his hand, and two stir-fried dishes on the coffee table.
"You’re here." Felix looked over indifferently, his handsome face not showing any additional emotion because of Mia’s sudden appearance.
"Having lunch?" Mia entered and casually closed the door of the office behind her.
"Yeah, have you eaten yet?" Felix looked away and continued eating.
Recalling the disheartening encounter at noon, Mia walked over leisurely and sat down next to Felix, "I haven’t eaten yet. I was planning to have you take me along."
Felix looked at her and after a moment’s thought, put the food box aside, "Let’s go then, we’ll eat out."
Mia Foster...
She was merely looking for an excuse for her abrupt visit, having seen Oliver Shaw keeping a mistress outside, she felt sorry for him and wanted to come and see how he was doing.
"No need, I’ll just eat this with you."
Seeing Felix getting ready to stand up, Mia quickly pressed him back down and said with feigned modesty, "Actually, I had a little to eat earlier. The food wasn’t very good, so I didn’t eat much."
Looking at the food box he had put down, he had already eaten more than half of his rice, and there weren’t many stir-fried dishes left. Felix appeared slightly troubled, "I’ve already eaten from these."
"It doesn’t matter, I don’t mind." Mia behaved generously, picked up Felix’s chopsticks and started eating a piece of vegetable, then handed the chopsticks back to Felix.
Watching the woman nibble the food, lips pursing as she chewed, and then looking at the chopsticks extended towards him, Felix took them, picked up the food box again, and continued eat his lunch.
Perhaps because Mia was sitting next to him, Felix ate more genteelly, no longer gobbling the food like he had been. He picked up a piece of stir-fried beef and turned to Mia, "Do you want to try?"
"Mmmhm!" Mia hadn’t yet swallowed the piece of vegetable in her mouth and nodded happily, then quickly chewed it up and swallowed. After licking her lips, she opened her mouth towards Felix.
Seeing her face up close, Felix chided with a smile, "Greedy." He placed the piece of beef in Mia’s mouth, then scooped up another bite of rice, "Open up, have some rice. Don’t just eat the vegetables, it’s salty."
