"You don’t get a say in this!" Oliver Shaw turned to Melody Zachary, his eyes cold as ice, "I was thinking of providing for Vanessa and her daughter outside... It’s you who doesn’t want a peaceful life."

And then, you," Felix suddenly pointed at his father, his eyes sharp, "and the three of you, will become like rats crossing the street. You won’t have a peaceful life for the rest of your days!"
"Husband, Seraphina’s injuries haven’t healed..." Vanessa Armstrong started fake sobbing, Oliver Shaw turned to Aunt Xu again, "Take them back to their room."
As Vanessa and her daughter followed Aunt Xu towards the stairs, Vanessa looked back at the three people still in confrontation below. A sly smile appeared on Vanessa’s lips as she rounded the corner.
Oliver Shaw shook off Melody Zachary’s wrist with a jerk, "I’ve already had the lawyer draft the divorce settlement. I will give you money, enough to lavish for decades."
"Oliver..." Melody Zachary whispered, tears welling up again. Felix Shaw pulled his mother back into his embrace, "Mom, such a man is not worth your longing."
After consoling his mother, he turned back to his father, "As I said, if you don’t agree to my conditions, I won’t let you get divorced."
With that said, Felix Shaw helped his mother up the stairs, the mother and daughter having been brought back into the house, it was meaningless for them to stay any longer.
After hastily packing his mother’s luggage, Felix Shaw wanted to take his mother to live in his apartment, but Melody Zachary was stubbornly refusing to leave. She locked herself in the guest room, bolted the door, and no matter how much Felix Shaw tried to persuade her, she just wouldn’t open the door.
