Watching Mia Foster’s car stop in front of the hotel, both of them got out at the same time. Felix Shaw, eyes burning with jealousy, also turned off his car and strode over.
"Mr. Qu, have a good rest. I’ll come to pick you up early tomorrow." A polite handshake with Mr. Qu, which he just released when a cold, warning voice sounded from behind.
"Mia! Foster!" Felix Shaw approached through gritted teeth, and both Mia Foster and Mr. Qu turned their heads to look.
"Mr. Qu, please go in first. I have some personal matters to attend to." Mia Foster smiled apologetically, not wanting anyone to see the joke, playfully eyeing Felix Shaw, but Mr. Qu didn’t release her hand.
"Let go of my wife." Felix Shaw flung Mr. Qu’s hand away and simultaneously grabbed Mia Foster’s arm, pulling her to his side, his gaze filled with hostility like a protective animal.
With a light smile, Mr. Qu, whether intentionally or not, addressed Mia Foster directly without titles, "See you tomorrow," then turned and walked towards the hotel.
"Get back here!" Felix Shaw, holding Mia Foster’s arm, pointed towards Mr. Qu, who was already on the steps. The latter merely laughed mockingly, not even turning his head as he stepped into the hotel.
Watching Mr. Qu disappear, Mia Foster turned around and snapped at Felix Shaw, pushing his arm away and stepping back as she indignantly questioned, "Felix Shaw, are you ever going to stop?"
Either lurking around the company entrance or following her around, even if their relationship was special now, a normal couple needs some independent space.
With a sarcastic laugh, Felix Shaw ridiculed, "Mia Foster, caught red-handed and ashamed? What is it? Upset that I interrupted your fling with another man? Can’t stand the loneliness? In that case, come back with me now, and I’ll make sure to satisfy you; let’s see if I can’t exhaust you on the bed!"
Burning with the flames of jealousy, Felix Shaw spoke without thinking.
This was not Mia Foster’s first time dealing with Felix Shaw’s immaturity. Now she couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to his hurtful words, impatiently tossing out, "You’re crazy!" before turning to get into the driver’s seat and driving away.
Watching the car go farther and farther, Felix Shaw glanced at the hotel building once more before leaving as well.
The next day, Mia Foster took Mr. Qu to visit the production base again. When they returned, it was almost noon. She accompanied Mr. Qu to the hotel to get the contract and then went back to the company to finalize the deal.
As the two just stepped onto the steps, Felix Shaw suddenly appeared from somewhere, grabbing Mia Foster’s arm and full of sarcasm, "Mia Foster, you really can’t stand the loneliness!"
Last night and this morning, despite many calls being ignored, she was again with this other man and now back at the hotel, practically announcing to all of T City the massive embarrassment she caused him.
Facing the suddenly appearing man, Mr. Qu remarked to Mia Foster, half-smiling, "You seem to have things to deal with. Shall we postpone?"
She coldly glared at Felix Shaw, then turned to Mr. Qu with a smile, "It’s alright, I’ll handle it right away."
After hosting for so many days and about to sign the contract, Mia Foster didn’t want anyone to disrupt her work.
Their conversation felt like a cryptic puzzle to Felix Shaw, especially Mia Foster’s "I’ll handle it right away," which further triggered his jealousy. He rudely swore, "Mia Foster, you’re dealing with me for the sake of another man; I’d like to see how you handle it!" Speaking, he grabbed Mia Foster and started pulling her down the steps.
