Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride Chapter 99

Felix Shaw thought Mia Foster was just talking casually, but half an hour later, there she was, standing in front of the private room.

Dressed in a fiery red slim-fit long dress with a creamy overcoat and clacking her way in on a pair of high heels that were over ten centimeters tall.

She greeted the few men there as if she was an old friend.

"Big bro, second bro, little bro number four." After the greetings, she grabbed Felix Shaw by the shoulder, "Move over, I’ll play cards for you."

Perhaps it was because of her studying overseas, she was generous and forthright, without any pretense.

Felix Shaw had to reluctantly get up and move to a seat on the side, while Mia Foster shoved her backpack into his hands and started shuffling the mahjong tiles with a rattle.

"I’m not very clear on the rules, help me out here."

Was so annoyed he wanted to curse out loud.

If you don’t know how to play, why the hell are you here messing around? Four guys playing cards, why’s a woman like you joining in the fun!

However, due to the presence of his brothers and the fear that Mia Foster might complain to his father, he had no choice but to swallow his grievances. He stood up, hung up Mia Foster’s backpack, and returned saying, "Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered."

After arranging her mahjong tiles, Mia Foster looked up at the other three people at the table.

"Who’s going to start the round?"

Her question momentarily stunned the three men at the table, but then they recovered, and Nicholas Croft smiled and gestured with his hand invitingly.

"Ladies first, sister-in-law, you start."

"Alright." Mia Foster replied spiritedly without being shy, like Nelly Brown in a business setting, decisive and confident, and then she threw the dice.

She then turned around, "Where do I draw tiles from?"

Though very irritated, still found it necessary to point out the spot to her.

"Right here." Mia Foster drew her tiles and arranged them in front of her, and not gonna lie, perhaps because she had never played before, she was on a hot streak; the row of mahjong tiles in front of her were all circles.

Seeing Mia Foster’s tiles, Felix Shaw’s eyes lit up; he forgot about sulking and even leaned forward a bit.

"Put this one here, that one there... yep yep... then discard this one."

"No need to remind me, I know what I’m doing." Mia Foster tossed out a tile, leaving Felix Shaw with a feeling as if he were a bridge dismantled after crossing a river.

He slumped back into his seat, resting his hands on his crossed legs, his face showing his complaint.

Nicholas Croft played a circle tile, just as Felix Shaw was about to offer a reminder, he heard Mia Foster shout, "Peng!" She laid out two circle tiles on the table and then played another.

Evander Lancaster at the lower seat drew a tile, glanced at it, and then casually played it.

Mia Foster consecutively "Peng’d" multiple tiles. When it was her turn to draw again, she simply pushed the tiles in front of her down.

"Pure Suit, Pairs Hand." She then turned to look at Felix Shaw, "Calculate how much a self-drawn Pure Suit Pairs Hand is worth."

Felix Shaw leaned in, muttering the numbers, "Pure Suit n times, Pairs Hand n times, self-drawn double-double, a total of eighty-eight thousand."

After doing the math, Felix Shaw gestured to the three men at the table, "Come on, come on, eighty-eight thousand each, hurry up, pay up."

The three men pulled out their chip drawers and tossed the chips to Felix Shaw.

Felix Shaw quickly gathered them in front of himself, opened the drawer on Mia Foster’s side, and dumped all the chips into it, his face grinning like a blooming chrysanthemum.

"Shuffle up, let’s continue."

Three rounds later, the chips in Mia Foster’s drawer wouldn’t fit anymore.

Evander Lancaster pushed his tiles away, "No more playing, sister-in-law’s luck is too strong, keep this up and I’m afraid I’ll lose my pants."

"Don’t worry, since you’ve called me sister-in-law, I’ll at least leave you with a pair of shorts to wear back home."
